A Must-See Gaudí Masterpiece

The guided tour of Gaudí’s Casa Vicens was a wonderful experience! Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, offering great insights into the history and design of the space. I highly recommend the tour for anyone interested in Gaudí or architecture!

Fantastic Guided Visit

We opted for a guided visit of Casa Vicens and are so glad we selected this option. Ian was a wonderful guide who clearly has a passion for this first house of Antoni Gaudi and overall appreciation and understanding of Gaudi’s style of architecture. This was conveyed throughout the visit and made our visit more enjoyable. The house, overall, has a distinct feel than the other Gaudi pieces of work we visited (Casa Mila, Casa Battlo, Sagrada Familia and Park Guell), since it was the first major piece of work he designed, but it still has a lot of the organic elements we seek in his work. Ian made sure this was identified and described in our tour. The tour was provided as a story of the Vicens family and greatly added to the intimate feeling of the tour along with the fact they limited the number of folks in the tour group.

So glad we took the tour!

Fantastic tour! Our guide was friendly, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable about the house & Gaudi. She shared fascinating insights about the house & pointed out many important details that we would've otherwise missed completely. Can't recommend high enough. Just be aware that you'll meet your tour guide inside the courtyard/ entrance, and not on the sidewalk in front of the house with the other guides.

Exceptional tour! Patricia was our guide, and she was absolutely amazing. She explained the many features of this wonderful house, including a lot of interesting history. I highly recommend this tour, as you can learn so much about its construction and design details. Thank you for a lovely visit!

The guide really new many special details of the families that owned the house, about the house itself with a great history. My wife’s second last name is Vicens and she really enjoy the information given about her encestors.
