Where is the House of Bones? What´s the legend behind the Catalan flag? How to put this into the context of the current independence movement? During the two-hours walk we will make the connection from medieval Catalan history and legends to what inspired Gaudí and other architects when designing the residential buildings along the grand boulevard of Passeig de Gracia. From street pavement to lamp posts – all have a story that we want to tell you! If you love history brought to life by passionate storytellers and you want to enjoy the intimacy of a small group then this is your experience. After these two hours you will discover details you have not noticed before. See the city with different eyes!

  • Casa Mila - La Pedrera

    Learn all about the history and the façade of this marvellous building designed by Gaudí. It was his last civic building before he dedicated the remainder of his life to the construction of the church of Sagrada Familia.

  • Passeig de Gracia (Pass By)

    We will walk down the grand boulevard of Passeig de Gracia. From street pavement to lamp posts – all have a story that we want to tell you!

  • Casa Batllo

    Certainly one of Gaudi´s masterpieces in Barcelona. We will explain the exterior façade and the ingenious creativity of Gaudi when designing this building.

    Casa Amatller is one of the most fascinating Modernist buildings for us in Barcelona. Many guests do not pay much attention to it, but we are sure that we can make you as enthusiastic as we are when you have learned about its history and architecture.

    Casa Morera is a stunning example of Modernist craftsmanship designed by Lluís Domènech I Montaner. Hidden behind the countless floral decoration we will point out a most surprising detail!

    We will pass Plaça Catalunya - connecting the new town, Eixample, with the old town.

Excellent Walking Tour

This was a wonderful walking tour! Christian had many interesting stories, insights, and tidbits about the architecture and architects as well the culture of Barcelona. He kept a great pace, and our family (including two teens) found it very interesting and a great use of time in the city.

Excellent walking tour with Michael as our guide. We were able to learn more about the history of Barcelona, Gaudí and other architects that designed interesting buildings. Michael kept us involved in the tour by asking us questions about what we saw in buildings. Our tour was casual, like walking with a friend. Definitely would recommend.

We loved the Gaudi tour with Christian. He is a fantastic story teller, with good pace and just the right balance of smaller details and larger themes. Definitely recommend this if you want to learn more about the beautiful architecture of this city.

We had an amazing experience walking around Barcelona admiring the beautiful architecture of Barcelona, the rich history of Barcelona and learning about the stories of the architects and how they created these masterpieces. We were fortunate enough to be the only people on tour that day with Michael, so we could completely tailor the tour to fit our needs. We got some great insights and stories of that time. This tour helped enrich our overall Barcelona experience I’d surely be recommending them to anyone
