Since all the paths are guarded this is the only way you can get the closest on foot to the Tajogaite Volcano. However we hadn’t got a lot of time there, sometimes I felt that we are running. The walk there and back was about maximum 1,5-2 hours and it is not that difficult. Proper shoes are necessary because of the sandy surface.
We were lucky with the weather, but sometimes it could be very foggy. Wim the guide was really up to date of everything related not just the latest eruptions but the volcanology of the island too. He answered every questions.
The other viewpoints was not that interesting but they could be good backups if the weather is nasty up there in the mountains.
