Overview

Starting with pickup from your hotel, or from a designated meeting point in La Paz, you will get a chance to visit Copacabana and the south part of Sun Island, all led by a professional guide. Once you reach the city, lunch will be provided, and then you'll get on a boat to see the historical attractions on Sun Island. Travelers will get a chance to visit the town of Yumani as well as the Inca Steps and the fountain that they refer to as the Fountain of Youth.

Beautiful sights - great tour guide.

Our tour guide Fernando was very knowledgeable, and we enjoyed the tour, the sights, and the restaurant very much. Copacobana is full of shopping opportunities. We where surprised at the amount of stair climbing we had to do at the isla del sol. Not sure if I knew about this activity if I would have done it. The altitude and all the climbing up the hill in steep stairs was quite a challenge. So much, that I could not fully take in the beauty of the isla del sol because I had to catch my breath all the time.

It was a great experience! Our guide was very good and patient with us, gave a lot os details. Sailing at Titicaca Lake was wonderful! And the lunch was amazing!!! Just the travel to Copacabana is a little inconfotable because its far away from La Paz

A place full of islands and Incas ruins (badly kept) to visit and I just made a day (a few hours) trip from La Paz to Copacabana. Our private bilingual guide, Alvaro Monrroy was fantastic. Pity. Could have spent a night on the Island of the Sun or Moon. A few hours are not enough. It's a shame to see the fight that the tribes or villages are on the Island of the Sun. There are three. A tribe does not allow to pass from the south to the center and from the center to the north. Only the Inca ruins of the South can be visited. Freedom without wisdom is confusion and petty or stupid beings.

We had an amazing time with Franklin on this tour. He was a lot of fun and kept us laughing from the minute we got on the tour! Very knowledgeable as well. Overall, the tour was excellent. The lake is beautiful and definitely worth the cost of the tour, especially since it is so cheap! The boat ride across the lake and island were beautiful. Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun day activity while in La Paz. Maya was great to work with when booking the trip as well. We are using HanaqPacha Travel to book a trip to the Salt Flats this coming weekend and another trip the weekend after!

Franklin is the the best tour guide ever.

Franklin was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgeable in all aspects of Lake Titicaca and Sun Island as he had visited the island on his own many times. He was kind, polite, and always went with the flow of our group. He made sure that we were having a great time and that we got to see everything that we wanted to see. This trip would not have been as fun with any other tour guide.
