Overview

Our full day kayaking and snorkeling tour to Elaphite islands is one of our most diverse, most fun, and most popular kayak day tour in Dubrovnik. Travel by local ferry to Lopud island, kayak to three beautiful islands and two charming villages in the Elaphite Archipelago. Swim & snorkel in the hidden Green Cave and give yourself to the thrill of exciting cliff-jumping challenge + explore medieval towns on beautiful Elaphite islands! Tour length:  9:40am – 7-8pm (8:40am Sunday & Holidays) Activity : Kayaking 10 km Included : ferry tickets, top-end kayaking equipment, watertight bags for personal belongings, masks and snorkels, professional instructions, an English-speaking local guide and GoPro photos and videos

Itinerary

    Starting from Dubrovnik’s Gruž Harbor in the morning, we'll hop on the ferry for Lopud island. Scenic ride takes about one hour.

  • Lopud Island

    Upon arrival to Lopud and after a safety talk and kayaking instructions, we set off across the channel for the island of Šipan and the Green Cave

    2 hours

  • Sipan

    Upon arriving to the hidden Green Cave, we’ll tie up our kayaks and get ready for a wonderful morning of swimming and cliff jumping. But first, we’ll grab snorkels and masks and swim down through the cave’s opening. Very few know about this cave … even the locals. Inside, there is plenty of room for swimming and even standing. This large, and safe, cave opens up to reveal an ethereal green light caused by the sun’s reflection off the sandy bottom. After, the group will swim in the deep cove outside the grotto’s entrance and try some cliff jumping.

  • Sipan

    We continue on to the delightful fishing village of Šuđurađ, on Šipan, for a lunch of local delicacies. We'll have some time off after lunch for sightseeing.

  • Lopud Island

    Following lunch, we paddle back toward Lopud. Before calling it a day, we stop at the island of Ruda - our third island of the day – to explore and kayak into another cave. Guests will be back on Lopud in time for a walk and for the evening ferry back to Dubrovnik.

  • Port Gruz (Pass By)

    We'll finish the tour by ferrying back to Dubrovnik in late afternoon.

Fun day paddling, made new friends.

Fun trip, lots of paddling across open waters between the three islands. Green cave was fascinating. Snorkeling was okay. The numbers and varieties of fish were fewer than we've seen in other places. We did see a couple of very colorful species that we hadn't seen anywhere else, in the cave had yellow sponge and purple coral inside. The experience can be different based on weather and tide. We had a few extra people with us who's tour got canceled the previous day due to wind. Plan for sun, and bring some cash to buy lunch on one of the remote locations.

This was the highlight of our holiday. Iva and Miro were excellent guides - capable, funny, warm and attentive to those needing advice or help. They helped our children through the difficult parts, such as the dive into the cave, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The waters around the island are beautifully crystal clear, making snorkelling a joy.

Absolutely amazing tour with a great guide! Miro was very helpful and made me feel very comfortable throughout the kayaking, and we had a nice chat over a lovely lunch in Šipan as well. The views were great and the cave and cliff jumping experience were good fun. Cant recommend it enough!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was friendly, relaxed and thoughtful of us. It was a hot day and could have been unpleasant, but he made sure we had plenty of breaks and swims to cool off. As a small group, we were able to stay or go from each place as we wanted and the pace was set for our level of inexperience. The green cave visit was a highlight, a magical place. Loved the snorkelling too and the kayaking was fun. With time to explore a couple more islands as well, it was a fabulous day out.

Our group had a blast on this tour, the kayaks were sturdy and the guides Ivo and Milo were great to chat to. A big highlight was the snorkelling in the cave, that was unique and the guys were very helpful to those left confident in their swimming ability. The views were great from the water and you get the feeling of adventure :D
