A Master at Work

Akarin was absolutely wonderful. He’s clearly an expert in Thai history and in three hours I don’t think we even scratched the surface of what he knows. He was very kind and welcoming and is a great ambassador for the country. If you’re interested in history and culture I would definitely recommend booking a tour with Akarin.

A guide to the Grand Palace is essential!

We had previously visited the Grand Palace without a guide & thought we were missing so much. After our tour with Araya we are fully correct in our thinking. The historical context of the buildings, & connection with Thai Royal Family was expertly delivered in flawless English. Araya was charming and open to all our requests & questions. We kept to a pace that allowed us to see everything without being rushed. Thank you Araya. We will definitely use Withlocals again.

Perfect introduction to Bangkok

We booked the Hidden Gems tour with Hnoi and she gave us the perfect start for our first stay in Bangkok. We visited a local mall, the flower market, the temple Wat Arun and a street market. We also sampled delicious food. Hnoi was a perfect guide, very knowledgeable, very relaxed and very friendly. She also explained how the subway system and the boats on the river work. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and will recommend her further!

Best Tour Guide Ever

Araya is the best tour guide I've ever had. Her english is perfect and she knows Thai history, the history of the Thai Monarchy, and the architecture transformations of the Grand Palace. She is thoughtful and understanding of the difficulties I have with mobility.

Sammy was a great guide. We had an awesome day. He helped our kids to feel safe and included, showed us around, always had things our kids could do. Highlight for our kids (3 and 6) was Tuk Tuk and feeding the turtles. It also laid a great foundation for the rest of our stay, as Sammy gave us tons of tips on stuff to do the following days. Really made the difference for our stay!
