Overview

Take a day trip from Seville to discover the cultural, historical and religious gems of Cordoba. Explore the Jewish Quarter and enjoy skip-the-line entry to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba and Cordoba Synagogue. Learn about the sites’ Islamic architecture and take an optional walking tour of ancient Carmona to admire breathtaking views from the hilltop. Several cultures remained in Carmona over the years: Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs and finally Christians. Then, we will delve into its history and see the San Fernando Square (Roman Forum). Finally, enjoy the Panoramic views from the Parador of Carmona.

Manuel, our guide, was friendly and cheerful, and most of all, extremely knowledgeable. He made the day very pleasant and taught us a lot!

Great trip and guide but local guide not so much

Our guide Peter was excellent. Knowledgable , funny , great at keeping us together and smoothly transitioned from english to spanish. We only wished he would have guided us through the church/mosque of Cordoba. The guide who did was knowledgeable but had no clue it just overwelming us with info and moving from section to section excruciatingly slowly. My wife and I are history professors and our classes would have burned us at the stake if we did that but neither our guide nor the copy had control over that. But everything else w as wonderful. Best walk through a medieval section of the town we have ever had. Well worth the time and money.
