Overview

Meet your guide at 09:20 AM in front of the Office de Tourisme at Cour de la Gare, 51100 Reims, and embark on a memorable Champagne journey. Your day begins with an exclusive tour of the prestigious Mumm House, where you'll discover the history, craftsmanship, and passion behind one of the most renowned Champagne maisons. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local winery, accompanied by a selection of perfectly paired Champagnes. In the afternoon, head to the picturesque village of Hautvillers, known as the birthplace of Champagne, where you'll explore its charming streets and visit the Abbey where the legendary Dom Pérignon worked. The tour then takes you to a local Champagne producer, where you'll be guided through the estate and enjoy three tastings of their exceptional wines, gaining a deeper understanding of the region’s diverse Champagne styles. The experience concludes at 5:20 PM, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Champagne's rich heritage and flavors.

Meeting points

The guide will be outside the train station of Reims centre in front of the tourist office. Please be there at least 5 minutes before the tour departure. Be careful, there are two tourists offices in Reims. The meeting point is at the train station tourist office, not the cathedral tourist office.

Smaller tours more personal than larger champagne houses

We had a full day tour which included two smaller growers and Mumm tour on Saturday with Emilie. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained the process to us all. We were in a great group and our first stop was at champagne Didierlaurent, port a Hinson, with a fabulous lunch at Champagne Collard-Milesi. Emily was an excellent tour guide and gave us time to enjoy the tastings, lunch and look around the church at Hautevilliers also. I personally enjoyed Emilies explanations which were clearer than the tour guide in Mumm tour. Highly recommended day, thoroughly enjoyable, insightful and entertaining

Our lovely guide, Francesco, was very friendly and with the extensive knowledge about the overall stories around Champagne. We learned a lot from him! Thoroughout the entire tour, we felt super comfortable though the weather was very poor. He tried his best to accomodate us under the bad weather. The family owned champagne winery we visited was extremely interesting that it was rustic, in a good way, that we were able to get to know each and every step of champagne making with the actual tools and machunes/woods. Taste of their products was beyond our expectation that all of them are much better than the ones produced by big Champagne brands. I wish the future participants could meet Francesco as a guide for your trip. He would make your day super fantastic.
