Our tour guide was Kim who happened to be a local living within the walls so she gave us the history of Dubrovnik and the city walls, in addition to local slice of life stories, which really made an interesting and well-rounded tour. Some steep steps at the beginning but nothing you can’t manage and again pay attention coming down at the end. The walk all around atop of the walls was otherwise easy. The walk at sunset gave a reprieve from the sun’s heat and crowds, and you are rewarded with spectacular views. There are a few small cafes/bars on top of the wall, we stopped for a few minutes to get drinks to go but I wouldn’t have minded sitting there to enjoy a drink with views for 15-20 minutes. We would highly recommend this tour.
