What a positive and wonderful surprise!
We are a group of some 30 people, socializing once a month to hear interesting lectures and often combine it with an enriching tour.
Daniel (the tour guide) proposed to visit the nearby Druze village of Isfya, to learn about their history, and religion and taste their unique cooking.
Daniel is knowledgeable and well-prepared, and his close interaction and relationships with the local community are amazing.
The tour was well-balanced, we heard a short lecture presented by a local, emancipated, Druze lady, and continued to see the local village and its 1000 years of history, including an old mosaic of an ancient synagogue, enjoyed the view and the people, and concluded in an amazing house/restaurant of Rima and her husband who are wonderful people and exquisite cook.
I am sure we will use Daniel as a guide soon.
