Transfer from Luxor to Dendera, you will have a comfortable and convenient ride to this ancient temple complex located about 60 kilometers north of Luxor. The drive takes approximately one hour and a half to arrive.

Dendera Temple Complex

Hathor was among the most important and popular deities in ancient Egypt. She was associated with music, joy, dance, and motherhood; she was also known as the Lady of the Sky. Her main cult center was at Dendera where one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt stands today. The entrance of the temple, with six massive columns surmounted by the head of Hathor, is considered among the most beautiful monuments in Egypt. Sistrums (a musical instrument) closely associated with the goddess, frame her head. The temple of Dendera dates back to the Ptolemaic Period, although evidence points to older structures once existing on the site, dating as far back as King Pepy I, from the Old Kingdom. Among the temple’s most notable features are astronomical engravings on its ceiling.

Great a wonderful day The excursion to visit the temples of Abydos and Dendera this January 2025 was amazing and unforgettable, with an exceptional driver and breathtaking monuments. It was the first time a tour agency driver arrived ahead of the scheduled time at our hotel. Thank you to Eye of Egypt! The best tour agent is ‘Eyes of Egypt - Luxor.’ Here are some reasons why I recommend them: - Prompt Communication: They contacted me several days prior to the tour date to reconfirm the details, which other agents didn’t do. - Quick Responses and Flexibility: They responded quickly, and when I asked to change the pick-up time, they were flexible and accommodating. - No Pushy Sales Tactics: Unlike other agents who tried to sell additional tours or SIM cards, ‘Eyes of Egypt’ focused solely on providing a great tour experience. - Helpful Driver: The driver, Ahmed, was very helpful and responded sincerely whenever I had questions. I’ve used three tour agents booked via TripAdvisor during my trip. I would like to emphasize to fellow travelers in Egypt how crucial it is to choose trustworthy agents and reliable guides or drivers. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with a guide from another agency and also from other agent staff who prioritized selling over addressing my inquiries promptly. In summary, if you’re traveling in the Luxor area, I highly recommend using ‘Eyes of Egypt - Luxor’ as your tour agent.

It was a best day of our stay in Luxor. This is highly recommended. The driver was very nice and it was very comfortable, calm, and safe. The temples were very beautiful and we enjoyed alot. It was very easy to communicate with the company, so that we could leave earlier to enjoy the temple with less people and they told us very detail about the trip beforehand and lt gave us clear view.
