Overview

Climb to the top of Mount Longonot on this moderately-difficult day hike. The hike takes 3-4 hours round-trip, with sweeping views of the national park available from the summit. At the end, you will be rewarded with a scenic boat ride at Lake Naivasha.

  • Mount Longonot National Park

    Mt Longonot National Park is located 90km from Nairobi city on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The mt Longonot national park is a popular park for hiking and mountain climbing that takes less than 3-4hrs to climb/hike up and down. It is one of the best adventure day trips from Nairobi. Longonot national park is easy to get to and has the best sightseeing opportunities and one can look inside the mountain crater.

  • Lake Naivasha

    Boat Ride in Lake Naivasha Go on an hour boat ride in this wonderful rift valley lake. The boat ride will take you to see the hundreds of birds in this lake including the diving African fish eagle which dives in the water to catch fish without ever missing. You will also go to the hippo pool and see the hippos as they swim and bleat inside the water while opening their mouths to over 180 degrees.

Animals, volcanoes, good weather and great vibes

Had a blast on this hike! Gorgeous views and landscape. We saw giraffes, zebras, and antelope in the distance! It was definitely a challenging hike but it was a great work out and well worth it. Dominic and Jimmy picked us up on time and were great company! Car was also clean and reliable.

Visiting Mt. Longonot was unforgettable experience,made even more special by our exceptional driver jimmy and guide dominic,from start to finish, Jimmy's kindnesses, professionalism and deep knowledge of the area made the tour truly remarkable. He had an incredible eye for spotting wildlife ensuring we didn't miss the zebra, giraffe, Impala, different birds other breathtaking sights around lake naivasha, all while sharing fascinating stories about the religions history and nature. Jimmy went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and engaged, always positioning the vehicle perfectly for photos and treating us more like friends than tourists. if you're planning a trip to my longonot having jimmy as your driver and Dominic as your guide will take your experience to the next level !!

The tour was amazing! We loved our driver Nicodemus that told us so much about the life in Kenya and showed us the best spots. We even did the 7km walk through the crater with our guide Jo - so cool! Would very much recommend.
