Overview

Be a celebrity for 3hrs! The Q cars were originally dingy toys and made real-life-size cars by Tomy toys. They are unique, made in Japan and only in Japan. Fun, easy to drive, and very kawaii *cute. We take safety, comfort and excitement seriously and aim to make every tour a memorable experience for our guests. Please ask your guide to take photos for you or use the camera attachments on the cars for action cameras to capture the scenic ride. Anybody over the age of 18 with a valid license to drive in Japan, IDP, will easily be able to drive the q cars. The Q cars are automatic with just a forward, neutral, and reverse switch. Before we commence the journey, the guide will explain to each driver how to operate the Q cars. Please remember to bring a valid driver’s license for driving on public roads in Japan.

Itinerary

  • Lake Kawaguchiko

    We start and end our tours right by Kawaguchiko station for your convenience. All tours go around Lake Kawaguchiko and stop at the best view points. Tours are 7km for the HIGHLIGHTS tour *60min, 18km for the TEMPLE and TUNNELS tour *90min and 20km for the LEASURE and PLEASURE tour, 2hrs, respectively

    Stop to take photos of Lake Kawaguchiko, Mt Fuji and seasonal flowers.

  • Oishi Park

    Public Toilet available Famous for some of the best views of Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, complete with seasonal flowers, this is one of the most visited places on the lake. Have a browse around the beautiful hand made in Japan craft shops and choose from delicious locally made ice-creams, dried fruits, pizza and other snack options in a tranquil and wonderfully landscaped setting, complete with treasure hunt!

  • Okukawaguchiko Sakuranosato Park (Pass By)

    We will see the Autumn Leaves and see Cherry Blossoms.

  • Yagizaki Park

    Public Toilet available Yagisaki Park with a view of the tiny floating temple, which can only be reached during the dry season when the lake is at its lowest, views of Mt Fuji, the Lake and Lavender plants in season (Aug), this is also the location of Kawaguchiko Muse Museum.

  • Lake Kawaguchi Ohashi Bridge (Pass By)

    Our final leg passes under Kawaguchiko bridge with Mt Fuji majestically ahead of us, we turn left and proceed back to the station. Along the way you may see some horse riders and many friendly, smiley people waving at you. Enjoy the Ride! Arrive back at Kawaguchiko Station.

A MUST!!

Honestly, the best thing I did during my three weeks in Japan! The drive was easy and low-pressure. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The views- once in a lifetime! The guides took great pics of us too. I can't recommend this enough!! A great hack too for getting the best views with none of the crazy queues and crowds.

AMAZING First off the team are so nice, got to meet Stefan, Yasue Riley who were all delightful and amazing tour guides. Every scenic spot we went too was 10/10 and driving the Karts on the road was beyond amazing! This tour ticked off so many boxes in one go while also saving step count and we had plenty fun doing it! Special thank you to the team for searching for the missing sling Bag and went out their way to continue looking for it after hours They are the best and highly recommend it!

Best way to see Fuji

My only warning is to secure transportation to Fuji in advance- we tried to buy bus tickets day of and they were sold out, we were afraid the trains wouldn't get us there in time so we had to take a very expensive taxi.  Less than 5 minutes into the tour we both agreed the cost of the taxi was 100% worth it. We got super lucky with a clear view and blooming cherry blossoms and this tour was an amazing way to experience it all.  It was very easy to drive around the lake and for the majority of the drive you have gorgeous views of the water, fuji, and cherry blossoms.  There was a marathon going on during our tour and it was so fun having the runners wave at us as we passed. They picked us up at the bus station and we got some fun history on the way to their base, where we were offered jacket, goggles, and gloves.  We had the ability to pick our cars and got a personalized lesson on how to operate whichever one we picked and then we were off. I saw another review that mentioned the tour felt short- it was very fulfilling and not missing anything, but I agree that I could have easily spent a few more hours in that little car exploring.  I booked this because I wasn't certain we'd see Fuji and I figured at least I could have fun if not, and we had so much fun- the view was just a great bonus!

Really fun way to see the lake and all the beautiful views. Appreciate the knowledge shared by the tour guides as well. It felt really safe and the roads were easy to drive one.

Such good fun, we were lucky to be in a small group just 4 of us and our guide Rick, and it was a blast! Really fun and cool way to explore the region abit. During blossom season was the cherry on top :) Much recommended!
