Overview

The route begins in Athens and crosses the Corinth Canal, passing through the Gulf of Corinth to arrive at Mycenae. Here travelers will be able to relive the expedition to Troy at Mycenae, the kingdom of Agamemnon and a World Heritage UNESCO Site. Then we visit Nafplio, appreciating the Venetian architecture along its narrow streets before arriving at Epidaurus.     This tour begins with a ride on the Corinth Canal, which was constructed in 1893. From high up, you can enjoy the best view of Corinth's isthmus and admire the steep limestone walls. 20 minutes at the Canal and 40 minutes drive to reach our next stop

  • Archaeological Site Mycenae

    Next stop is Mycenae, where you can walk in the ruins of its citadel and feel the vibrations of the past times climbing up on top of its hill. You will visit the archaeological site, entering through the Lions Gate, see the royal palace and admire the splendid view.

  • Citadel and Treasury of Atreus

    The Treasury of Atreus or Tomb of Agamemnon is a large tholos or beehive tomb on Panagitsa Hill at Mycenae, constructed during the Bronze Age around 1250 BC.

    Palamidi is a fortress in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. Nestled on the crest of a 216-metre high hill, the fortress was built by the Venetians during their second occupation of the area (1686–1715).

A brilliant day with our awesome tour guide!

Our driver, Alex was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, easy going and generous with his time and experience. We had ample time at each site and he recommended a great spot for lunch! A brilliant day.

2nd Tour - Worth the Trip!

This was actually our 2nd private transfer with LS tours during our time in Greece. We were greeted with the best tour guide around, Alex, who shared his knowledge that brought the beautiful scenery of antiquity to life. We had another wonderful meal with recommendation by Alex with wonderful views of Nafplio with a gelato treat to end! Although we had seen Alex 2 days prior in the same vehicle, he greeted us on this day with a spotless vehicle and provided waters! Alex knew all of the special places to show us on the journey that I'm not sure just any tour guide would know. LS tours is certainly top notch.

This is the 3rd tour I’ve booked with LS Tours and the experience has always been great. Good communication and quick replies to queries. (We wanted to adjust the itinerary and they were very accommodating and made helpful suggestions so we could get the most from the tour.) The tour was brilliant we were lucky with exceptional weather, and Alex, our driver would drop us at the entrance and was there to pick us up. Alex was also knowledgeable about each site as well as other bits of interest we passed along the way. Definitely worth it - a thoroughly enjoyable day!

Great tour. Our driver (George) was a wealth of information and wonderful company. He is not a tour guide, as clearly stated in the tour description, but he had more information than we could absorb in one day. He was flexible with scheduling so we could do the sites in the order that worked us. Everything revolved around our wants and needs. Our tour started at 9AM, as scheduled, and we returned to our hotel at 6 PM. We had plenty of time at each stop since George let us visit the sites at our own pace. Be prepared for lots of walking and some steep inclines. I can highly recommend this tour
