My husband and I heard about iris holidays from another holiday-maker in our hotel, on her recommendation. She gave us the number of Arun, one of the managers, who was contactable on whatsapp. He was prompt in his replies after we told him what he wanted.
Within 12 hours he had put together a package of precisely what we wanted.
We were picked up at our hotel, the Ramada in Kochi (a hotel which we wouldn’t recommend) and driven to Alleppey by a kind, friendly and safe driver.
On arrival we were greeted by the captain who walked us to the boat from the car (a 1 minute walk on a footpath).
The boat was fantastic- in good condition, not too noisy, with good air conditioning, a bedroom, bathroom, dining room and open air balcony. We had the whole boat to ourselves at the reasonable cost of around £140. The chef on board cooked us a delicious lunch.
We spent 5 hours on the boat and were able to see the beautiful back waters and it’s wildlife, before being transferred back to our car and back to our hotel.
All the timings were spot on as quoted, our driver even arrived early in the morning (basically unheard of in India!) and everything went exactly as planned and advertised.
