    Recognized as the most beautiful festival in the world!! It feels different from ordinary temples which are located in deep mountains, and since it's next to the beach, the scenery is nice and it's great for a walk. Divining coins is also fun.

  • Bupyeong Kkangtong Market

    Bupyeong Kangtong Market is a market located at Jung-gu, Busan, and is one of the representative markets in Busan along with Gukje Market and Jagalchi Market. In the past, markets were held in the Bupyeong-dong area, but after the Ganghwa Island Treaty was signed in 1876, Japanese people began to live here and shop here, giving it the name 'Korean-Japanese Market'. Later, in 1915, it was designated as a public market by the Japanese and its name was changed to 'Bupyeongjeong Market'. After liberation, the name was changed to 'Bupyeong Market' and US military supplies began to be imported and sold here. In particular, a lot of US military canned food was sold, so it was called Bupyeong Can. It was given the nickname “market” and has been used to this day. This place is especially famous for its food, and among them, bibim glass noodles and tofu pocket casserole are the most famous.

    There is a theory that the origin of the name of Jagalchi Market is that since it was a market located on a gravel field after the Korean War, the word cheo (處), which indicates a gravel field and place, was pronounced as chi in the Gyeongsang dialect and became Jagalchi.     he history of Busan International Market began with the trading of goods handed over by Japanese returning to Japan after liberation and goods brought by compatriots returning from overseas. At the time, it was called Dottegi Market, and in 1948, a building was built and given the name Jayu Market. You can see so many different kinds of Korean traditional snacks, dishes, clothes, shoes, and many imported goods, too.

Great day touring Busan for our family of 3

I highly recommend MJ! Our family of 3 spent a wonderful custom day with MJ and her driver. She was fun, energetic and knowledgeable, and her partner was an extremely nice and safe driver with a very comfortable vehicle. We needed to get from Gyeongju to Busan (and the train to Seoul) and wanted to do sightseeing en route. I contacted MJ and she put together a custom itinerary for us based on my wishlist - but also advised me on what was doable so that we would have enough time to enjoy. In addition to some stops along the way from Gyeongju, we visited Yongungsa, Cheongsapo Daritol Observatory, Gamcheon Culture Village, and the Jagalchi Fish Market in Busan. Those alone would have made a very full day :) As an extra treat, MJ took several photos along the way and printed them on her portable printer! And when our daughter (who is spending her college semester in Seoul) received a last minute email from school requiring whe submit a studio quality photo THAT DAY in order to meet her residence permit application deadline, MJ found us a studio and got the job done!

Wonderful family vacation in Busan

MJ is a great guide. Very good nature, always smiling and laughing with us. Also very patient since our family was 2 elderly grandparents, 2 parents, and three youthful children! MJ is very knowledgeable and answers our questions readily. I also want to commend our driver, Mr. Cha, who was always on time and helpful.

A Must-Do experience

I recently had the pleasure of touring Busan, and i can't recommend it enough! The city is a perfect! Tour guide was perfect. Very humorous. Actually, i enjoyed korean delicious food as well. I will visit here next year.

Amazing tour with MJ

Our family, total 7 had an uncredible tume during our Busan tour. The highlight was definetely visiting ocean temple. MJ, guide was fantastic. We also visited a skin clinic as our special requirement. And other family members came back to hotel early. She also accepted well about that. Mom and i were very pleased with results. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Busan. Especially MJ guide.
