Enjoy the best of Busan with this full-day small group shore excursion. Your English speaking tour guide will show you the highlights of this beautiful city by the sea. Visit the Songdo Sky Walk, Korea's longest ocean sky walk, and famous landmarks like Gamcheon Culture Village and the Mountain Hwangnyeong Observatory, where you can enjoy an awesome view over Busan. Port pickup/drop-off and a Korean style lunch or dinner are included. A minimum of 2 people per booking is required. The tour will be cancelled if this requirement is not met.

Itinerary

  • Songdo Skywalk

    The sky walk has drawn attention as the first of its kind in Korea, and for its long, curving trail. To date, the first section of the walk has been installed and measures 104 m, stretching around Geobukseom Island. When completed next February, the Songdo Sky Walk will set a new record as the longest ocean walk in Korea at 296 m in length and 2.3 m in width. The sky walk will also have a viewing platform stretching out into the water to give visitors a spectacular view of the coastline. Transparent tempered glass was also used in sections of the flooring for the walk, allowing for clear views of the waters below and giving people the true sensation of walking on water. It is positioned 5.5~8 m above sea level making it far closer to the sea than the Oryukdo Sky Walk, which is positioned 37 m above the shore, along a seashore cliff. Everyone will be able to enjoy the thrilling and exciting experience of watching blue waves under their feet.

  • Busan Gamcheon Culture Village

    Gamcheon Culture Villiage is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname of "Machu Picchu of Busan." The many alleys cutting through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.

  • Yongdusan Park

    Yongdusan Park, one of the most popular mountains in Busan Yongdusan in downtown Busan, is one of the 3 well-known mountains in Busan. Its old name is Songhyunsan, which means a mountain has a view of the sea through the dense fine tree forest. Later the name has changed into Yongdusan. It came from its shape, which is similar to dragon head and people thought it has a spirit to defeat enemies coming over the sea. On the mountain were shrine built by Japanese people during Japanese colonial role, but now are Cheokhwabi monument (the stone monument to the exclusion of foreigners from the country), Chunghontap (memorial tower for Korean war victims), 4.19 Revolution monument (the student's anti-government revolt), the statue of General Lee Sunsin(the great commander in Joseon Dynasty period(1392-1910)) and Busan tower. During Korea war, displaced people built houses on it even on the top, but 2 times of big fires took all them away making it bald mountain. Since then, fierce efforts to plant trees have created such beautiful park. The name of the park was once Unam park in the time of the Liberal Party’s ruling but it went back to Yungdosan park after April revolution (1960). It is a place with beautiful scenery.   • BIFF Square

    Busan’s modern movie district was originally little more than a pair of cinemas that were built following Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule over half a century ago. However, major renovations took place ahead of the first Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in 1996, and the newly transformed district was named BIFF Square on August 14, 1996

  • Gukje Market

    Following the Korean War, refugees who had fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living, and this was the beginning of the Gukje Market (gukje meaning "international"). The Gukje Market is one of Korea’s largest markets; each alleyway is crowded with stalls, and it connects to the Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets. The market stocks such a wide variety of goods, that you can find almost everything you need right here.

  • Jagalchi Market

    The Jagalchi Market is Korea's largest seafood market. After the Korean War the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the women who sell here are called 'Jagalchi Ajumma,' 'ajumma' meaning middle-aged or married women. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. If you visit you can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even these days you can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and whale meat on wooden boxes along the road.

  • Yeongdodaegyo Bridge Monument

    Yeongdodaegyo Bridge connects Jung-gu and Yeongdo-gu districts in Busan. Constructed in November 1934, it was the first island-land connecting bridge in Busan and the only single-leaf bascule bridge in Korea. The bridge lifts up on one side to make way for large vessels.

  • Hwangnyeongsan Mountain

    We will drive you guys to the top. Hwangnyeongsan Mountain is located in the heart of Busan. With an altitude of 427m, the mountain is the second highest mountain in the Geumnyeon Mountain Range. The mountain is mostly made up of andesite and the summit is relatively flat. Some parts of the mountain are also characterized by exposed bedrocks. ( We will be driving to the top )

  • Samgwangsa Temple

    Samgwangsa Temple is to hold its famous lantern festival, which has been attracting over a million visitors each year. CNN Travel also voted this temple to be one of the best spots you must visit in Korea. The festival is known for a variety of lanterns of over 3 millions kinds. The lanterns with hope and sincere love toward Buddha will create spectacular views, watching wave of lanterns lighten up the dark sky with their brilliant colors.

Great learning opportunity in Busan

We knew very little about South Korea and were interested in the history and culture. We asked our guide to show us the city addressing the community as a whole. She excelled in helping us visit the community and learn about the whole country.

Very personal!

We were surprised that we were the only ones in the tour. As a result, we received special care by our guide Chris. The weather was beautiful with slight wind. On top of the tourist spots that we had visited, we received an excellent lesson on the history of Korea. Chris speaks American English with no accent at all. This was the first time we were in a private tour, it didn't matter if it were by design or not. Good job, Chris!

Gamcheon Village had beautiful views. The temple was also interesting. Chris did a great job navigating the city and dealing with a difficult passenger.

Steve was a great guide for us, taking us around Busan’s west side and telling us the stories of the city through the eyes of a local. Steve is very knowledgeable about the history and he combines that with the ability to see it from a stranger’s point of view. We were also lucky to be the only two on the tour, which made it more relaxed and catered to our wants.
