For that you’ll have to hop on a bike. This 4-hour guided bike tour brings you down the backstreets and to street food venders serving up delicious snacks you’d never find on your own. This is a small group tour, which means more attention from the guide.
This bike tour with 15 Kilometers is all about exploring a very different side of Bangkok. We won't be cycling to anywhere famous, instead get ready to take in the real Bangkok, where normal people live in the jumble of laneways that few people ever explore. Get ready for true cultural immersion on two wheels!

Meet at Discova Day Tour Shop across MRT Sam Yot station, next block to Miramar Hotel, the last building next to the canal at 8:30 am. The tour will depart at 9 am sharp. After a quick bike fitting and briefing we head out. Cycling through the heart of the backpacker area, Khaosan Road, you will soon be biking off the roads this bike tour winds through small laneways, past ancient temples and canals to see the heart and soul of Bangkok.

From the starting point at the Grasshopper shop, we bike through Khaosan road and head out to another side of Bangkok.

Phra Athit Road
From the heart of the backpacker area, Khaosan Road, get going pass Phra Arthit road and another fort before we will take you off the roads biking through small laneways, past ancient temples and canals to see the heart and soul of Bangkok.
We cycle along the Chao Phraya River and then pedal cross the river on the Rama 8 Bridge. From here we visit ancient temples and urban street life.

There are no particularly famous sights that you will see on this bike tour. It is all about exploring the city by bike away from the tourists and big roads, to see the real Bangkok where people live, work and play. Bangkok Noi is the name given to a large canal of the Chao Phraya River. Bike along the canal through tiny alleyways home to a Muslim community. After cycling over a bridge you bike the canal back the other way, this time passing Buddhist temples and one of Bangkok’s first train depots. If open you are in luck to visit a bronze bowl foundry and the old steam engines at the Thonburi train depot - such is the diversity of the city when you get in close.

The Giant Swing is one of the landmarks of the city and was once used for an important Hindu ceremony. From the Swing it is only a short bike ride back to the Grasshopper Shop.

What an excellent tour! Our guide was wonderful - she lead us through narrow sidestreets, along the canals, through diverse neighborhoods and shared many interesting facts along the way. Fabulous unique way to see the city - I highly recommend this tour!

Wow wow wow!! Firstly a HUGE thank you to Tammy for taking us on this once in a life time tour of Bangkok. She is the most amazing tour guide. She’s kind, thoughtful and so informative! I have never experienced any tour like this before. You truly get to see a side of Bangkok that most people (other than the natives) get to see. Is it the easiest bike ride? No. But is it worth pushing yourself to navigate through small alleyways and sharp turns? Absolutely. I’d say you should be medium fitness level to do this without issue. Again- thank you TAMMY! We will recommend this tour to everyone we know when comes to Bangkok

Max provided an excellent tour. The sights we saw were unusual and he provided great insight. He treated us to delightful snacks along the way. Some of the passages were a little narrow and he encouraged anyone nervous to walk (me!) and it worked out just fine! Great way to see a side of the city you’d never find yourself! Loved it!

Tom was an incredible guide and it was a very enjoyable and challenging ride. Excellent English and knowledge of the city. Saw many great sites and a part of Bangkok that most tourists don’t get to see. I highly recommend it for anyone that is an above average biker. Please give a big tip because the value of this unique tour greatly exceeds the cost.
