In this Finntastic tour, we are going to visit the highlights of Helsinki and learn together about the past and present of Finland! - What do you know about a Finnish sauna? - Is Finland really the happiest country in the world? Join us so we could dicuss many fun facts about the Finnish culture, history, and lifestyle together in a fun way! This tour is going to be not only informative, but also very fun! So, do not hesitate and book it right now! * Please go through all the tour details about duration, itinerary, meeting point and time, etc in the tour page * Notes: - This is a walking tour, and we walk around 2,5 km, but we let you take a seat on benches and steps if possible, - The group size is 5-30 people, and the guide carries a speaker to talk to the group, - Please register a valid phone number (preferably with whatsapp) so we can contact you before the tour in case of changes, - This tour is not suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, and pets. Wish to see you on our tour!

Meeting points

Meet the guide at Senate square, next to the statue of Alexander ii. The guide holds a red sign that reads "Helsinki Walking Tour". Please arrive to the meeting point 5-10 min. earlier for check-in as we begin the tours on time, and the guide can´t answer calls or messages when the tour begins.

The tour ends at Oodi centrali library, next to the central train station, within 15 minutes walking distance from Senate square.

  • Senate Square

    Senate square is our meeting point, and it is probably the main tourist attraction of the town, where the history of modern Helsinki begins. Here we will find out what are the three beautiful buildings around us!

  • Helsinki Cathedral

    Helsinki Cathedral or the White cathedral is the most famous landmark in the town that you have probably seen pictures of. We can have a look at inside the church together to learn a bit about the religious mindset in Finland. If we are lucky, we can also enjoy some music inside the church. (The church is closed during the church services, usually on Sunday mornings). In the summer season there is an entrance fee of 8€ to visit the church, so we will visit it from outside only.

    "Torille" is a famous Finnish phrase, which means "to the market" ! Let´s visit the market square to find out what that means! What Finns usually eat or drink, and what can you buy from Helsinki to take home with you? The gulf of Finland has probably many stories to tell us about Helsinki as it has seen many battles throughout the history. Market square is located by the Gulf of Finland with views to Suomenlinna island, one of the many beautiful islands in the gulf, which is a highly recommended place to visit as it is a UNESCO heritage site. We will of course help you how to get to the island.

    Oodi library is the highlight of the tour, where you will need to change the definition of a library you have on mind, because this is different than any libraries you have ever seen, and it is gonna blow your mind!
