Tailor-made full-day service (max 8 hours). Give us your travel details and we'll propose an itinerary. Please look at the other tours or our website to get inspired. Choice of luxury vehicle according to number of people in your group. You have the car and the guide at your disposal all day to drive you around and accompany you on a guided walk. Oslo City Center is quite small, and thus perfect for a walk. However, a majority of the city’s highlights are on the outskirts of Oslo, such as the great Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Holmenkollen ski- and recreation area (with the best panorama view of the city!). There is also the "museum peninsula" of Bygdøy, just across the bay, where you will find the open-air Folk Museum, the Fram (Polar) Museum, the Maritime Museum and the Kon-Tiki raft expedition Museum.  There are nice restaurants up in the hills or by the fjord for a lunch and/or dinner break We'd gladly recommend one..

    Itinerary to be proposed by Norway Exclusive according to the guests interests, preferences or earlier visits. If no particular preferences we will propose an Exclusive Highlights of Oslo and surroundings including major museums.

  • Vigeland Park

    Some kilometres west of the city centre is the great Vigeland Sculpture Park, open all day and night to the public. The several hundred outdoor sculptures illustrate the circle of life. We are happy to give you a guided tour of the park.

  • Fram Museum

    Polar exploration was important in late 1800 and early 1900. There was a race to conquer the North pole and the South pole. In the Polar Museum you find the two authentic polar ships Fram (-forward) and Gjøa. Rewarded "The best museum in Norway". The most impressive is that we can enter the original 130 years old ship and get the polar feeling forced onto us by the multimedla film above us showing the combined drama of sea, wind, ice bergs and northern light. Close by is also the KonTiki Museum (Entrance KonTiki is not not included unless agreement of OsloPass,)

  • Ekebergparken

    We will stop in the Ekeberg Sculpture park and have a view of Oslo. And maybe a 15 min scenic walk passing all the modern amazing sculptures.

  • Akershus Castle and Fortress (Akershus Slott og Festning) (Pass By)

    Close View and history of the 800 years old fortress on the cape within the city centre

  • Akerselva River

    The main reason for Oslo's development during the last 500 years is the Aker River splitting the city in two. With 20 "productive" waterfalls it first produced power to our grain- and saw mill and later in the industrial 19th century our steel- and textile industry. Today a 10 km park and recreation area. The lowest parts occupied by the "hipsters".

  • Honse-Lovisas Hus

    Off the crowd, close to the "native" Oslo citizens. View and walk the stairs close to the impressing Aker river waterfall and feel the 19th century industry history. Visit the small tiny Lovisa's café for a coffee or/and a waffle?

  • Holmenkollen Chapel

    ..and Holmenkollen Ski Jump. Oslo is situated between the fjord and the forest. The forest is called Oslo Marka, and is our main area of recreation, particularly in winter since we love skiing. We take you up to the Holmenkollen hill to see our national symbol of skiing and view of the city. Possible "top-tour" to the ski jump tower (NOK 160 often a queue) and an exciting Ski Simulator (NOK110)

    View of the palace from the vehicle or walking by. Norway is a democratic Kingdom and our Parliament situated on the main street of Karl Johan. We'll walk up front to the King's guards.

  • Oslo City Hall

    See the Venue of the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. Some times closed due to official arrangements by the city council.

  • Munch (Pass By)

    See our new "Lambda" building hosting Edvard Munch's art including "the Scream". However this museum requires at least half a day, so we just pass by in our tour.

  • Norsk Folkemuseum

    Optional visit, particular in nice weather: A 45 minutes visit to the outdoor museum. Here we can see traditional Norwegian buildings and also one of our famous "Stave Churches".

Our mulit-generational family of 8 visited the incredible city of Oslo. Since we were cruising into Oslo, our time was limited. We had a few areas we all wanted to see that didn’t fit neatly into a shore tour. What a great idea it was to book a private tour. Our tour driver was Janica and what a delight she was on this great excursion. We visited all the sights we wanted to see and some we didn’t know we wanted to see. Janica was amazing! She provided so much interesting information. We picked her brain about the social systems in Norway, enjoyed her breadth of knowledge and easy, calm manner. Thank you, Viator and Janica, for making Oslo one of our favorite cities!

Our guide Svein was so nice, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Frogner park was amazing as well as the Fram museum. Holmenkolleakken was amazing. Loved hearing the history of Oslo as well.
