Overview

Hoi An silk village is one of many famous craft villages in Hoi An and producing plenty types of good quality silk. On this tour, visitors can gain a deeper knowledge of the history and traditional silk making process. Additionally, visitors will be shown the life cycle of silkworms in action. Guests will then be shown how cocoons are transformed into silk thread and how the silk is treated and refined to become ready for clothing. After all, visitors will enjoy local meal

    •Discover the history of sericulture, silk unraveling and silk weaving •Explore the Cham Culture and see the collection of Cham mulberry trees and the weaving process •Learn how to get the best mulberry leaves in traditional Vietnamese mulberry garden, cut into small pieces and hand- feed the silkworms • Experience the Silkworm lifecycle in Silkworm breeding house • Get understand how to get silk thread from the cocoon to weave silk fabric. • Discover the pure handicraft silk which is preserved till now. •Know more about the weaving process on short and long wooden loom to have the unique handicraft products, understand the difference between pure silk and fake silk fabric. •Enjoy local lunch or dinner after an interesting silk tour

Amazing Experience

Best Experience in Hoi An Having an opportunity to see and experience the silk making process from picking the mulberry leaves to feed the baby silkworms to weaving the silk threads and then forming the threads into fabrics was very interesting and enjoyable. Our guide was wonderful, patient and happy for us to take as much time as we wanted to experience every step made the trip even better. I recommend all this
