Overview

This is a quick and easy way to visit 2 countries in 1 day and fit in three beautiful and unique visitor sites as you go! Start with a stop at the Bauska Medieval castle where you'll have time to go up in the recently renovated tower. Continue with little Versailles - Rundale palace and its gardens! This is your opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the palace with no queues. Free time to enjoy the palace, and gardens and also to have lunch here, if you wish. And last but not least - visit the unique Hill of Crosses in Lithuania! Now you can tick off another country in your list as there will be a border crossing! We'll organize comfy transportation, good and professional drivers, and printout sheets with information about all of these sites so you can enjoy everything at your own pace. Please know that you can bring a cross to the Hill of Crosses if you wish. There are also locals selling crosses on site. The tour runs if there are at least 3 people booked for the day.

    Photo stop at Bauska Medieval castle where some people say - it looks like Game of Thrones set! You'll have free time to go up at the freshly renovated viewing tower, explore the fortress ruins and take some nice photos with surroundings.

    Visit Latvias little Versailles! Rundale palace and its gardens is your chance to enjoy the beauty with no queues and crowds. Immerse yourself in history and take some beautiful photos! Free time to enjoy the palace, gardens and also to have lunch here, if you wish.

An excellent tour. Definitely recommended.

An excellent tour which departs from a convenient location in the heart of the Old Town. Our driver and (for a couple sites, our) guide Yannis, (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) was brilliant. He kept us entertained and provided so much information as we drove around the countryside. He was very flexible and gave us some options around what we saw, and when. We also received useful information the day before the tour, such as advice to bring headphones for audio tours at Rundales.

This tour gave me the opportunity to visit places I would’ve otherwise missed. Really enjoyed the hill of crosses. At each stop we had plenty of time and also the opportunity to explore on our own. Also throughout the trip our guide shared plenty of knowledge about the places we were visiting.

I really enjoyed my day with Janis. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He provided us with snacks and water. We stopped at an additional location, which was not on the agenda and also had time to stop for photos on the borders of Latvia and Lithuania. I would highly recommend this trip.

Great daytrip from Riga

We were assigned to a private car with Jnis as our driver and guide and one other tourist. It was an enjoyable and exceptionally informative tour. More detailed info could have been provided about our meeting place prior to the final arrangements. Our guide Jnis gave us a great advance introduction to each of our stops (in fluent English) and answered all of our questions. One suggestion is that this tour include a private guide of the Rundale Palace as the signage is only in digital form.
