Jump start your Costa Rica holidays with White Water Rafting Class III & IV from La Fortuna. Costa Rica is known for world-class rafting and the Class II & IV of the Sarapiqui River won’t disappoint. Your Costa Rica rafting adventure tour begins with a 1-hour scenic drive that winds through plantations of papaya, pineapple, and yucca at the base of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Once you reach the “put-in” spot, Wave Expedition’s skillful, trained guides will go over the safety procedure and rules to prepare you for your paddling responsibilities. Once you know the rules and show you are familiar with the commands – you are ready to start your Costa Rica tour. Itinerary

Join us and get prepared for an exciting and thrilling time with a full day of challenging class III & IV white water rafting!.  Set deep in the Costa Rican rain forests, Sarapiquí River, declared as National Patrimony, gives us the perfect blend of natural beauty and one of the best white water rafting in the country, with big waves and amazing technical rapids. After meeting with your river guide we will drive 90 minutes to the put in in where the fun begins! Your guides will explain the safety security procedures and safety equipment before embarking down the river. Then we will take the PLUNGE and start the adventure! Halfway through our journey we will “re-fuel” on the river bank and enjoy some delicious tropical fruits while soaking in the tropical surroundings. At the end of our journey, a cold drink and dry towel will await you before a short ride where you can change into dry clothes and have a delicious Typical Costa Rican Lunch.

Best Rafting in La Fortuna

This was our second time rafting in Costa Rica and we had a fantastic time. We rafted the class IV and III rapids. Our guide, Justin, was excellent and did an outstanding job navigating us through some narrow areas. From the booking experience, to check-in, to the safety briefing, to our time on the water, we had nothing but a positive experience with everyone at Wave Rafting. We would absolutely recommend them.

Amazing and Safe Rafting Experience

We loved our rafting trip! The guides were very skilled and got the raft pointed in the right direction to avoid rocks and keep us going down the river. When we fell in they quickly brought over a kayak to get us back in the raft. They kept us very safe. The Sarapiquí was crystal clear and clean. The river was beautiful. After the trip they took us to a local restaurant with delicious food. I would highly recommend this trip with wave rafting.

Amazing day.. the tour guides were excellent and took safety seriously. The rapids were excellent fun and would highly recommend this activity for those seeking a thrilling day out.

Wonderful day - our guide (I believe Jorge) was amazing and prioritized safety. He gave perfect instructions and the river and water were beautiful! Such great memories for us and our 3 boys!

Rafting with Wave was an absolute blast and the service was top notch! From our driver, Warner to our trainer/line guide, Brandon to our raft guide Jorge, we were big fans of everyone we had contact with. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip!
