Niagara on the Lake Heritage District

Stop over Niagara-on-the-Lake is a town in southern Ontario. It sits on the shores of Lake Ontario, at the mouth of the Niagara River. It's known for its wineries and the summer Shaw Festival, a series of theatre productions. The flower-filled, tree-lined old town features 19th-century buildings, mainly along Queen Street. Near the river, 19th-century Fort George was built by the British to defend against American attacks.

The Welland Canal

Derive through The Welland Canal is a ship canal in Ontario, Canada, and part of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes Waterway. The canal traverses the Niagara Peninsula between Port Weller on Lake Ontario, and Port Colborne on Lake Erie, and was erected because the Niagara River—the only natural waterway connecting the lakes—was unnavigable due to Niagara Falls. The Welland Canal enables ships to ascend and descend the Niagara Escarpment, and has followed four different routes since it opened.

Gotham was an extremely professional guide!

We had the most amazing trip up to Niagara Falls with Gotham who contacted us before our trip to explain that if left at 8.00am we would beat the traffic which we did and his recommendation for a time to leave to beat the traffic on return trip back to Toronto! Gotham pointed out points of interest also history events that took place in all areas we visited which we had no idea about, also after our trip on the Hornblower boat which was chilly he picked us up a couple cups of Hot Chocolate which was much appreciated then he recommended a Helicopter trip which was so good, then off to Niagara on the Lake town which was stunning along with recommendations for Lunch spots! All in all a fabulous service well done Gotham keep up the good work! He also gave us fantastic recs for really good restaurants in Toronto!
