In the 2015, after extensive renovation, the Egyptian Museum in Turin reopened its doors to the public - and with a new layout. Grab your electronic ticket which is a bracelet that's valid for one entrance. Your bracelet must be worn for the duration of your visit. Once you grab your ticket, receive a video guide, which is a new generation of equipment that will give you the opportunity to choose itineraries differentiated by content and duration.
In certain areas, explore the itinerary through the new Egyptian Museum that's punctuated by media to provide additional insights during your adventure. The Museum is divided into four floors (three floors above ground and one under ground) with a chronological itinerary. Visit the important library and spaces dedicated to restoration and study of mummies and papyri..

What’s a fantastic collections of items from Egypt. The sheer number of items was overwhelming! The bright colours on objects, the whole tombs and how they were put together was really interesting.
If you are in the area it’s well worth just piping into the museum to see if you can gain entry.
Trying to get tickets on line was an absolute nightmare! We nearly didn’t try to get in. But we were extremely happy we chanced our arms!

It is a very well done Museum with interactive pieces, digitally writing your name in hieroglyphics, plenty of options to sit, and of course mummies! Some nice videos with seating, amazing collection of fabric and smaller figurines. Could have spent a lot more time there.
The Hall of the Statues is very impressive.

The hall of the largest and most impressive statues are right at the end of the exhibition- so don’t give up! It has so much information and facts that you may be overwhelmed, but just take in how the funeral rites developed and enjoy the beautiful craftsmanship.

Superb museum, so comprehensive and full of the most amazing antiquities.
Of course Tutankhamen exhibition is amazing and a must. I like the tradition of this museum and glad we saw this here rather than the new location.

Such a wonderful visit! I must plan a return visit to Turin to revisit this excellent museum. Some areas were crowded but overall it was a very enlightening visit!!
