  • Halong Bay (Pass By)

    A UNESCO world heritage site and truly a natural wonder – Halong Bay is made up of over 3000 limestone karsts that soar skyward out of calm emerald waters. Within the islands of the Bay there are hundreds of beautiful caves, including many famous names such as Thien Cung, Dau Go, Sung Sot, Tam Cung and Bo Nau. Some of them are archaeological sites retaining tangible archaeological evidence of Soi Nhu and Ha Long prehistoric cultures such as Soi Nhu, Me Cung, Tien Ong, Thien Long, Hang Trong, and Trinh Nu caves. The name Ha Long Bay is literally translated as “Bay of Descending Dragons”.

  • Sung Sot Cave

    Situated in the centre of the UNESCO-declared World Heritage area, the Sung Sot or Surprise Grotto is on Bo Hon Island, and is one of the finest and widest grottoes of Ha Long Bay. ha long 2 Ascending to the grotto, the way is covered by trees and foliage, and consists of great paved stone blocks.Inside, it is artitioned into two chambers; the first one being similar to a wide theatre hall. Many stalactites hang from the high ceiling, with numerous possible forms and shapes.Anarrow passage leads to the second rooms, where a flow of light meets visitors. The chamber is so immense it could contain thousands of people at one time.At the deepest point of the grotto, a “royal garden” appears with a clear pond and a seemingly fascinating landscape of mountains. Many birds and plants (benjamin figs, cycads and centenary banyan trees) live here. On nice days groups of monkeys might arrive in search of fruit.

    Luon Cave impresses tourists with its beautiful natural landscape, the intertwining blend of the colors of the water, clouds, and sky, and with each crag, the tree stump is flawless and without flaws. This place is Mother Nature's gift to Ha Long.

    Situated about 7-8 km south-east of Bai Chay lies the small Ti Top Island. It displays a beach shaped like a crescent moon, and sand that has been washed to a snowy white by the tide. On 22 November 1962, this tiny island had the honour of receiving a visit from astronaut Ghermann Titov, a hero of the former Soviet Union, accompanied by Ho Chi Minh. To perpetuate the remembrance of their visit, Uncle Ho named the place Ti Top Island. It has now become an attractive beach for tourists and has various of tourist services.

  • Trinh Nu Beach

    Deep within the heart of Halong Bay, within the picturesque Bo Hon Archipelago, lies Trinh Nu Cave, known to many as the “Virgin Cave”. Just 3 km to the southeast of Sung Sot Cave, a visit to the Trinh Nu Cave blends the spellbinding natural beauty of Halong Bay with the quaint folklore imprint of Vietnamese heritage.

  • Lan Ha Bay

    Lying to the south of Halong Bay off the north-eastern coast of Vietnam, the 300-or-so karst islands and limestone outcrops of Lan Ha are just as beautiful as those of its superstar neighbour, but feel more isolated and untouched. Lan Ha also has the additional attraction of numerous white-sand beaches, which aren't found at Halong.

Nice trip

The views were amazing, we took so many photos. The tour guide is very funny. The cruise was luxurious and clean and many choice on lunch buffet.

The best boat by far!

The boat was so modern. We were the 2nd best boat on the water next to the giant cruise boat. However there were way more people on that one so this was better in my opinion. Peter the tour guide checked in on us all through out the day, was so engaging, shared a lot of information about Vietnam and made the trip very enjoyable. The lunch on the boat was great! We were even given oysters. The bay was stunning, there were lots of activities to do throughout the day and there is a jacuzzi on the boat. FYI there are a LOT of people in the water to go swimming in the island stop so if you don’t want to be swimming with hundreds of people you’ll want to stay on the boat in the jacuzzi for an hour as the boat leaves the harbor after drop off and comes back an hour later. If you’re off the boat you’re off for the hour. Bring a jumper for the limo back at night if you get cold easily as the air mcon is on even at night time. However some might find that perfect. Can’t bring plastic bottles into the bay (government rules) so bring a bottle of water in glass or metal if you don’t want to purchase water. However everything is so reasonably priced it’s easy enough to get it on site.

Convenient transfer service

The transfer service between Hanoi and Halong Bay was convenient with a prompt 8 am pick up. The bus was clean and spacious. However, the second rest stop felt like a tourist trap, and was unnecessary. We reached our cruise terminal slightly after 11:30 am. It's worth noting that you share the bus with other passengers heading to board the Arcady cruise, feeling more like hitching a ride.

Our day started off perfect being picked up by Jack and the driver. We then went on our bus drive to the harbour, and Jack was highly knowledgeable with everything Vietnam based. We got to understand the culture and its traditions better than we did before. We took the boat to Ha Long Bay, and once again Jack made sure to pass down information to all off the tour group thus helping everyone be informed of everything we were going to do! In all honesty once of a lifetime experience. We felt like Jack was the best tour guide, and if I could rate him higher I would. Well done to everyone involved but Jack you really made our day special. Càm ón
