Las Vegas was molded into a neon entertainment capital through Mobsters. Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, Meyer Lansky, "Irish" Kelly Green, Tony "The Hat" Cornero, Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal, Lester "Benny" Binion and others. These men were driving forces as casino gambling became an institution in the Mojave Desert. This tour begins with a guided tour of gangster-tied casinos in the Las Vegas Downtown area, including the El Cortez, Binion's and Golden Nugget. It then ends with entrance into the Mob Museum.

Fun tour culminating with a great visit to the Mob Museum! We really liked that admission was included in the price.

Unexpected Tour Option- Vegas

We had a private tour with retired history professor Richard who gave us all the history of downtown Las Vegas from the 1800”s to today. It was so different seeing all the casinos through his eyes and incredible story telling. It was particularly interesting to hear about prohibition times, the workers at the Dam, the secret tunnels during prohibition and finding all the old artifacts that you would miss just visiting the casino. Vegas certainly has a colorful history and even if you’re not a history buff it’s a very cool way to visit the casinos. We finished off at the Mob Museum and enjoyed a chat in the Underground Speakeasy. Recommend this as an option when visiting Downtown!
