Rated among the best aquariums in the US, The Florida Aquarium is home to a variety of animals from dwarf seahorses to apex predators! -A free-flying bird aviary with a lush mangrove tunnel, flowing waters of native fish, energetic river otters, and imposing alligators are under the Aquarium’s iconic glass dome. -The awe-inspiring 500,000-gallon panoramic Coral Reef Gallery is home to impressive sharks, giant stingrays, endangered sea turtles, toothy barracudas, and various fish species. Admission ticket sales help educate visiting students, provide world-class care to animal ambassadors, rehabilitate rescued sea turtles, and advance scientific research to save the Florida coral reef tract. As a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for maintaining high standards in animal welfare, veterinary care, conservation and education among other requirements.

Informative, interesting, well-presented aquarium.

One of the prettiest aquariums we have ever visited. We couldn’t help but notice the youthfulness, friendliness and competency of staff. We saw an amazing presentation on the shark and there were other presentations on different areas in the museum. They had touch pools where we could touch a stingray and also some jellyfish.

Lots to see! We really enjoyed it and would definitely go back. It wasn’t overcrowded so you could take your time and really check out the exhibits. We were there on a chilly day, so opted not to do a dolphin cruise but that would be fun next time. Just valet park because it’s the same price as the parking garage. We thought we’d save a few bucks parking ourselves. Cruised the entire parking garage only to find out there wasn’t one spot left and it was the same price

This is a wonderful cquarium. The number of exhibits and acquarium tanks is amazing. The habitats created are so detailed and well-maintained. What made this acquarium vist different from others visited was the staff. The staff are amazing. They are so helpful and engaged!

We had 5 hours to do something between getting off of our cruise and our flight home. The aquarium is just across the street from the cruise port, and they store luggage for no charge. The staff are very friendly and they are well trained and knowledgeable. The aquarium is easy to walk thru and has many interactive exhibits. The cafe has a variety of delicious options (try the truffle fries!); prices are a little high, but the portions are generous. We loved it and will visit again if we're in the area. A 20 minute cab or Uber to the airport runs $25-35.
