Itinerary

After your pick-up by our vehicle, we will cross the jungle of the Cotubanama natural park. Arrived at the car park, we will have 20 minutes of hiking to discover the fauna and flora of the park. Arrived at the entrance of the cave we will light our lamps and go to bathe in its limpid, translucent water, 25°C with its formations of stalactites, stalagmites and incredible columns which have crossed the centuries. Back in the vehicle, a well-deserved aperitif will await us.

Wonderful Small Group Tour!

Our tour guides were amazing! They coordinated transportation from the hotel, provided supplies, and gave us lots of great information on the hike to the cenote. Being in a small group was definitely a plus, as were the powerful flashlights. Another large group that didn’t have them left as we got to the center. I think our experience was way better! Do bring comfortable shoes, as the terrain is a little bit rough with coral underfoot. We saw a crab and some fish, as well as chickens, roosters, and baby chicks. Our friendly tour guides spoke great English and wrapped up the tour with some drinks. So glad we did this!

We had an amazing experience snorkeling in the cenote. It was a short hike into the cave, then down some stairs. We were given a strong flashlight and could swim around. There were even bats flying overhead. It was magical

This was a fun excursion! The little hike through the jungle was fun and showed us interesting local flora and fauna (we ran into a pack of goats!) and the cenote was really cool to explore. We loved the balance of telling us some of the history and geology and showing us some interesting spots, with giving us enough time to swim around and explore by ourselves. Would definitely recommend, and I’d like to return to dive the cenote, too.

10/10 - Amazing dive shop!! We had a wonderful experience working with Go Dive Bayahibe. Most of us were very new to diving (and a little scared!) but Gaelle and Julien made us feel so comfortable throughout. They’re excellent teachers and showed us some incredible reefs, fish (& other sea creatures) and a shipwreck. Gaelle even helped arrange a reliable transportation service for us to/from our hotels. I couldn’t recommend checking them out more and really hope to be back!!
