Venture out with a local guide to experience a very different kind of wildlife the sights and sounds of Kangaroo Island before and after dark.

Meeting points

Please meet the guide in front of the Aurora Ozone Hotel Executive (new building) on Commercial Street. Please note the guide can wait up to 10 mins then it will che considered a "NO SHOW" if you are not there on time.

Itinerary

    The itinerary is quite flexible and tonight we will look for all those creatures who are more active at night time. Most of the wildlife is active after sunset, specially in Summer time. We will be able to observe kangaroos and wallabies grazing in to the grassland, shy possums climbing trees and mayne a solitary own flying around. At the end we will go to a secure beach where we will look for the little penguins borrowing in to the wild.

This tour was amazing! Luca is truly passionate about his work and the Island, and he transmitted all these emotions during the tour! We have seen lot of animals (kangaroos, wallabies, penguins), and Luca explained all about their habits and behaviors. He also also explained us something about the Island and its characteristics

Really amazing tour! They really went above and beyond to make sure we could see a lot of animals. We were able to see penguins, koalas, cangaroos,wallabies and echidnas! We really loved our tour and would totally recommend it.

Thank you Luca for one of the best experiences to see native animals living in their own environment and being able to get so close to them. This is one of the best tours on the island and a must do.

Luca provided a very interesting and knowledgeable tour for my husband and I. We saw native animals up close in their natural environment. It really was amazing. To see animals such as wallabies in the wild feeding their young, mother koala with a baby and an echidna having a dig for dinner. Totally recommend this tour it was excellent. A big thank you Luca. Luca was an excellent guide and the vehicle was comfortable and spacious. We saw kangaroo, wallaby, penguin, koala, echidna and curlew. Some star-gazing and friendly banter thrown in as well. A great way to spend a couple of hours after dark on KI.
