    Choose from one of several start times, then head tour our office on Via Santamaura 21 close the Vatican Museums entrance. After meeting your guide, you’ll bypass the main entrance line with your skip-the-line ticket. Start exploring the collections of the Vatican Museums, hearing the history that dates back to the 16th-century days of Pope Giulio II. Subsequent popes added to the museums’ collection an impressive portfolio of art that weaves some 4.35 miles (7km) around the complex. Discover masterpieces of Greek Classical art and Renaissance wonders by the likes of Michelangelo and Raphael. Highlights include the ancient statue of Laocoön and His Sons, and the Transfiguration, Raphael’s last painting. Wonder among the works of Italian masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Perugino, and Fra Angelico.  Along your way, you’ll hear little-known tales about the Catholic church,. Finish your tour of the Vatican Museums with a visit to the Sistine Chapel, home of Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement, then step inside St. Peter’s Basilica to gaze at La Pietà among  baroque and Renaissance architecture. Before you leave, you can also visit the papal crypt, where Pope John Paul II and others were laid to rest.

  • Not wheelchair accessible due to some difficulties in Sistine Chapel (if you need an accessible tour please ask for our private tour.
  • Note: tour will not operate on religious holidays WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO VISIT THE BASILICA DURING RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS AND CEREMONIES (Audiences, Beatifications, Masses of the POPE). The Basilica is often subject to sudden closures. In these cases it is not possible to guarantee access to the Basilica. Estimated time entrance in the museum is 45 minutes after tour departure, because you will have to pass the security check.

Skipping the line was great. Tour guide was great. Would liked to have seen more Egyptian collection.

Smaller Groups are Better and Book Early!

First bit of advice is book early as you may not be able to get ticket and you will save yourself money. My friend and I struggled to find tickets and this was our last result within budget. Second bit of advice is book with this tour operator, the tour operator was easy to find at their meeting place and they were fantastic. Unfortunately I can not remember the name of our guide but she was AMAZING and so knowledgeable and fantastic working her way and us through the busy rooms and hallways of the Vatican, because it really does get busy. Make sure you wear something that covers your upper body, a big light scarf will do and take water as it can be hot and you are in there for a long time and there are lots of people
