Once in a lifetime experience!

Published on Feb, 2025

This had been a wish and a dream that had been postponed due to Covid. Recently this past year I was able to finally travel with a close friend. We had a small group with our amazing guide Asiencio. The Hiking was hard due to Altitude but our guide really went out of his way to make it more comfortable and constantly reminding us that we had plenty of time and to go at our own pace. We still were able to do all the excursions and the optional events like Hotsprings at our leisure. I will never forget the moment where we saw 4 condors flying above us, with on the major hike we saw one directly above us. Asiencio was a gift of a guide for us in our group.

Warm, and great people - an all-round incredible experience!

Fernando was the best guide we could have hoped for on our 6-day trek over Incachiriasca towards the Inca Trail, and finally Machu Picchu! He is so knowledgeable about the history, and cultural significance of the areas we visited as well as the natural surroundings. One of our favourite things along the way was Fernando's sit-down sessions where he gave the perfect context for what was coming up or the significance of where we were in that moment. Fernando is also very patient, and professional, while still keeping an abundance of fun even in the more physically challenging moments! The entire Quechua team were amazing and we couldn't have been more taken care of throughout the trip. Armando, the best chef around made us something different for every meal, he is so creative with his cooking! We even had some competitive card games on the go with the team, a highlight! Overall, we could not recommend Quexhuas, Fernando, Armando and team more - an incredible experience!

Great aventure with QE

We spent 5 days together touring Cusco, the Salkantay Trek and Machu Picchu. Everyone was punctual, professional, and (importantly) fun! Every detail of our trip was considered and the staff took care of any issues. Quechua Expeditions a great mix of adventure and relaxing for us, amazing tour guide Fernando whi gave US detail informational tours of archaeological sites. We will definitely recommend them to friends in the future.

Amazing tour with a great guide

Published on Oct, 2024

We had a great time on the Salkantay Trek. Small group (many others we saw were way bigger), nice accomodation, amazing food prepared by the private cook, and a very experienced guide who provided a lot of information during the tour and always found good solutions for any issues we faced during the hike (like bad weather one day). I strongly recommend to do the tour with Fernando as he was the best guide we had during our 4 weeks of travelling in Peru and Bolivia.

BEST EXPERIENCE

Published on Oct, 2024

We had an amazing experience with Quechua Expeditions for our Salkantay trek. Our guide for the tour was Fernando, has was amazing, the best we could ask for. We met him first in the preparation meeting the evening before going out for the trek, and we immediately felt we're in good hands. Fernando is very experienced with this route and provided all the information we need, speaking very good English
