Overview

The landscape, the flora and fauna is wonderful; but accompanied by a qualified guide, who knows the area and explains the secrets of this place, makes this experience unforgettable. Since the tour is in private service, we have the comfort and flexibility to spend free time in this wonderful place and fully explore it. In addition to enjoying the charming Andean landscape of Salinas at 4300m, we will have a unique experience having lunch in the salt flat surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. Our tour includes private transportation, professional guide, entrance fee, oxygen tank on board, drinks and lunch -picnic in Salinas (traditional, vegetarian and vegan option).

    On the way, we pass through the village of Chiguata, where we will observe pre Inca terraces, which are still worked for many crops as quinoa, alfalfa, corn, potatoes, carrots and broad beans.

  • Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve

    Lagoon of Salinas is located in the south side of the National Park Salinas and Aguada Blanca, and we take a dirt road in order to visit it, which is not the road through which goes to Chivay (Colca Canyon) when we go to Colca canyon, we go by the north side on a paved road.

    We will walk through Salinas visiting the left side of the lagoon (Salinas Huito) and the right side (Salinas Moche).

Salinas National Reserve

We highly recommend this private trip to Salinas National Reserve. Our guide Julio was very knowledgeable in Peruvian history, culture and politics, so we learned so much during our trip. His English was very good and he is also very well versed in current world affairs. The Reserve is vast, you will get a chance to see protected species like vicuñas up close, as well as other fauna and flora.

Amazing Day Trip

We had a fantastic day with Julio as our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were picked up right on time and he was a careful driver for the long drive to and from Salinas Lake. Julio was very flexible and let us spend as much or little time as we wanted at the various stops. The picnic that his wife packed for lunch was delicious. The scenery was incredible. The best part of our time in Arequioa. We would highly recommend this tour.

Great private tour

We had a great tour! Our guide was really nice and told us a lot of things. He was open to questions and with his stories the long drive felt shorter then it was. He drived carefully. He stopped whenever we wanted and helped us to get great pictures. The nature and thr views are great even though we wished for mote salt and less water but the rainy season ended late this year. The picknick was great!
