Overview

The Pitstop Foodie Tour will give you an impression what local people eat and drink. You will experience the multicultural kitchen from Kuala Lumpur. There will be snacks, light and small Chinese, Indian and Malay meals with local drinks at typical local restaurants. The tourist guide will explain the ingredients and what is so special about these food and drinks.

Meeting points

Public transport: LRT KAMPUNG BHARU (RED LINE) or MRT RAJA UDA , PINTU A (YELLOW LINE). Then follow the signposts to our location. Our location is a 5 minutes walk from SALOMA BRIDGE.

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

Itinerary

  • Kampong Bharu

    The second last stop will be in the oldest settlement from Kuala Lumpur. Here you will have a small typical Malay meal with local drinks.

  • Chinatown

    The guide leads you through a couple of streets in Chinatown. You will stop nearby in an Indian area to eat a delicious Indian meal.

    25 minutes

  • Jalan Alor (Pass By)

    You will cycle across the famous Jalan Alor where street food will be offered.

  • Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur

    Your will cycle along Berjaya Times Square to get into the more unknown Chinese area (Pudu) for tourists where you will have a local Chinese meal and drinks.

  • BB Park Bukit Bintang

    From Jalan Alor you cycle to the Imbi area, what is less known for tourists. In this Chinese area you have a typical Chinese meal with drinks and the guide will explain the ingredients of this first local meal.

Great tour!!

We've had a blast!! This was our second time in 3 weeks. The tour brought us along the Klang riverside, we ate an excellent Indian palmleaf meal, and rode all along little India. Selle you were great!! Thank you for introducing us to Masala tea!!

Insightful tour with fun and adventure

I really enjoyed this tour with Selle who lead us through areas of Kuala Lumpur city I would never had discovered, very insightful tour visiting Hindu, Buddhist and Taoist temples and then venturing into little India dining at a restaurant for banana leaf rice. We took a variety of back streets, river side paths and main roads. I was impressed with the safety as we wore hi-vis vests and Selle lead our small group using hand signals to indicate certain actions like hazards, left, right, slow and surprisingly also commanding traffic with her whistle. it’s a recommendable tour so go for it …

We had an absolutely fantastic time with MikeBikes in Kuala Lumpur! We joined the bike tour with food, and it was simply amazing. Everything was incredibly well-organized from start to finish, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Our tour guide, Charles, was an absolute gem! He was so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about the city. He shared so many interesting facts and stories, which made the tour not only fun but also very insightful. The food was delicious, giving us a real taste of the local cuisine. Riding through the vibrant streets of KL while stopping to enjoy authentic dishes was the perfect combination of adventure and culture. A big thank you to Charles and the entire MikeBikes team (from the new office) for this unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur—it’s a must!
