Each deeply influenced and marked Ravenna, that’s the reason why in this small town you can admire forms of art quite peculiar and different from the rest of Italy, in fact this is the only place in Italy where you can admire the startling byzantine art and architecture; you will feel astonished by the exquisite mosaics more than 1500-year-old.

My guided tour with Marta was excellent and worth every Euro. She is a professional art historian with deep knowledge of the art of Ravenna, local history, and much more. I was already fairly knowledgeable about the history and I learned a lot from her. These three hours were a real highlight of my three nights in Ravenna.
