    After Greeting, walk to our A/C van and start to visit Istanbul the only city in the world located on two continents is Istanbul, which has been the capital of three great empires – Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman – for more than 2000 years. Our first stop is Hippodrome Square where used to take place for chariot races and the Byzantine riots during Roman & Byzantine period.

    Our second stap is Blue Mosque where is a few meters to Ancient Hipodromme. Blue Mosque has its fame from its beautiful blue Iznik tiles

  • TopkapI Palace

    Continue walking around 300 meters to Topkapi Palace, was not only the residence of the Ottoman sultans, but also the administrative and educational center of the state. It was constructed between 1460 and 1478 by Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople. We will visit the Topkapi Palace including weapons section.

  • Hagia Sophia Moschee

    Only a short walk away, reaches Hagia Sophia built in 532 AD by ORoman Emperor Justinian I. Update for St. Sophia interior visit : Live guiding is not allowed in St. Sophia after the 15th January 2024. Guests have to have their smart phones and headphones during their visit. If guests do not have a headphone, they can buy at the entrance at the cost of 3,5-USD The system is similar to audio guide system. Guests who does not have smart phones will follow the signs and the given informations on the signs .

    After a short lunch break in famous local restaurants like Pudding Shop, we will walk to visit Grand Bazaar where is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with more than 58 covered streets and over 1,200 shops which attract between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors daily. Opened in 1461, it is well known for its jewelry, pottery, spice, and carpet shops.

Excellent day out!

Lovely day out with Tayfun! We got to see all the sights on the list and it was wonderful not being on one of the cruise ship tours. Lots of detailed information. We definitely hit the end of our ability to see historical things in the Topkapi Palace, so we left, which you can't do on a group tour, and headed to the Spice Market. We were taken to a great store with amazing turkish delight and ended up buying way more than we intended. The spice salesman was a bit overly pushy, but that is par for the course in stores in Turkey. Anyway, he dropped us back off at the port. We were very tired from a great day of sight-seeing!

Istanbul was brought to life by Leyla. We bombarded her with questions and she handled like a pro. Developed a flexible schedule on the fly as we discovered some sites she had on the list were sites we visited previously. Booking was super easy. Pick ups and drop offs were seamless. Driver was great. I learned this is the way to see a city for the first time. Best tour and guide we have ever had. Thank you!

Perfect tour from a cruise

We did this tour from a cruise ship. Was a great day! Everyone in our 8 person group had a wonderful time. Perfect way to spend the day seeing Istanbul. Felt very safe! We could have skipped the carpet stop, although it was interesting, it is a sales pitch, which I could have done without. They were nice enough when we declined. Would prefer to go to the spice market over the carpet demonstration. Overall, a great tour & excellent day.

Layla was a great guide, she was very knowledgeable about everything and made it a wonderful day! We lucked out and the weather was sunny and quite warm. From the tour description I wrongly assumed that part of the tour was conducted by car. Be warned, it’s all walking and there’s a lot! But Layla was accommodating and we stopped for water and brief rests during the day. She was a lot of fun and I highly recommend her as a tour guide and also recommend this tour. You get to see some of the main sites but know it’s impossible to see all Istanbul has to offer in a day!
