  • Midhope Castle

    We will visit the iconic Midhope Castle, famously known as Lallybroch from Outlander. Your guide will take you through all the key filming locations while also sharing the fascinating history of the castle itself. It's a must-see for any Outlander fan! Please note, Midhope Castle is closed between December and April, and during these months, we will visit an alternative location such as Linlithgow Palace. Additionally, as Midhope is located on a private estate, access may be restricted at short notice due to estate activities.

    Your visit to Blackness Castle, a towering and historic fortress, will be guided by an expert who will bring the castle’s rich past to life. Known to Outlander fans as Fort William, this impressive site boasts dramatic views over the Firth of Forth and offers the chance to explore one of Scotland’s most formidable strongholds. As you wander through its imposing walls and hidden corners, you’ll uncover captivating stories from both its real history and its role in Outlander. This guided tour ensures you experience the best of Blackness Castle, making it an unforgettable highlight of your journey.

    We will stop at Deanston Distillery for a lunch break (not included), offering a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal in this historic location. Deanston was featured in Outlander as part of the filming for Le Havre, adding a touch of cinematic history to your visit. While here, you’ll also have the opportunity to indulge in a whisky tasting, sampling some of Scotland’s finest drams and soaking in the atmosphere of this charming distillery.

What a joy, Leslie, our tour guide was. She not only knew about Outlander but also a lot of Scottish history (plus she had a great sense of humor). We went to Castle Leoch, Fort William and last, but not least, Lallybroch! I will never forget this day.
