Overview

Glassblowing, at its heart, is a team sport! We bill by the piece, but we can get more than one person working on each piece. Most pieces are great for either one or two people. We encourage teamwork with you and your fellow glassblowing students, making this an ideal activity for families and groups, large or small. As a team-building activity, glassblowing lessons bring you and your group together in a fun, challenging, and interactive format that strengthens bonds and encourages teamwork. When you come with your family and friends to make one or more pieces per person, we team you up to involve as many people as possible in the whole experience. The more pieces you make, the more experience everyone gets in the glass studio.

Itinerary

2 ADULTS OR 2 ADULTS AND ONE SMALL CHILD MAY PARTICIPATE PER PIECE BOOKED. All glassblowing lessons at Moana Glass are private lessons. We want you to have the most hands-on and informative experience you can get with glass while making your PERFECT MAUI SOUVENIR. We will never group you up with people you don’t know, just you and your friends and family. In these fun and exciting private lessons, you start with a safety orientation, then move on to making your piece. Our expert instructors guide and assist you one-on-one. You start by picking colors from our vibrant color mixes. Your teacher will you step-by-step through the process specific to the piece you are making. The whole process takes 1 hour for 1 piece, 1.5 hrs. for 2 pieces, 2 hours for 3 or 4 pieces, 2.5 hrs. for 5 pieces, 3 hours for 6 or 7 pieces. What You Leave With -A fun experience like none other in Hawaii -A beautiful piece of art that YOU made -A new appreciation of glassblowing and glass art -A great story and a conversation piece that is sure to impress Pieces are ready for pick up about 3PM the following day. Glassblowing a souvenir

Glassblowing has been on my bucket list and what better place to do it than in Maui. We made a fish and a starfish that both turned out beautiful. I can't think of a better souvenir to bring home. Every time I look at those pieces it will remind me of our awesome vacation. There is also a beautiful Art Gallery if you would just like to purchase pieces. They even have glass pieces for the home including lights and sinks! I highly recommend this.

Jessie and the whole crew at Moana glass were incredible. They helped me make the most beautiful and memorable vase. I’ll never forget this experience. I highly recommend it to everyone.

We collect art glass as a hobby and we thought we knew how difficult it is to make...well we didn't know just how difficult and how many steps there are in making art glass. We had a great time and it made us appreciate the talented artists that use this medium. One of the best excursions we had on Maui !

What a great way to create a symbol of the beauty of Maui! Paul was an excellent teacher, helping me make a fish. I recommend this project because it uses several tools and techniques in forming and blowing glass. Great staff! Fun experience!

Paul was so patient and easy to work with. He exp the process step by step. This was such a cool hands on experience and we highly recommend it! It is very cool to have a piece of art work to take home as a memory from our trip. Please note: it takes 18 hours for your piece to cool so give yourself time to pick it up the next day. If you can’t, they will ship it for shipping cost. I would highly recommend recommending this experience!
