This has been one of the best experiences of my life!
The personnel picked us up from our hotel and after a relatively short ride through town we arrived at the lodge.
We received equipment to protect us from the cold weather (it was -18 degrees Celsius). That included a second pair of wool socks, overalls, gloves and even neck and / or head protection for those that didn't have any with them.
We got introduced to the Huskies and played and cuddled them and after a brief walkthrough of how the sleighs work we began our tour through the forest and the frozen lake. The scenery was magical. We were blessed with a clear sky, a full moon and an extraordinarily active aurora borealis. We just felt as if we lived in a fairytale.
Then we returned to the lodge, got changed into our own clothes, drank tea and ate reindeer stew by the fire in a small cabin.
Truly a magical experience which I would recommend to anyone visiting the far north of Sweden.
