Overview

This private guided full day tour can begin any time from 9h00 to 17h30. Meet your well-trained guide and boatman as your board your steam-engine wooden boat. Head to the prestigious island and enjoy the 30-minute journey. Listen to the history of the island and discover the past centuries through the historical buildings, which have served many purposes over the years including a prison, chapel, and hiding place for slaves after the abolition. Play with giant tortoises and you may take photographs with these old precious creatures. after that you will have time to Snorkel at the pristine sandbank at Nakupenda Beach. Get chance to watch the birds passing on the sandbank. Enjoy your buffet lunch of delicious Swahili foods. Swim with tidal Indian Ocean water in the Nakupenda then Escape the hustle and bustle of Zanzibar and enjoy a City Tour( Stone town), passing the Darajan Market, house of Wonder and discover the oldest church in the East Africa Visit the Heritage Palace Museum

All star tour group

We had for our guide Ibrahim, driver simba and 2 boat captians Khamid idi & kama kawaida and they were PHENOMENAL! We had the absolute BEST time and learned so much. They were so knowledgeable, accommodating and considerate. I really enjoyed our Zanzibar tour and when we come back we want the same team over and over again. Feels like we have a family here with them.

Amina was our tour guide and she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, welcoming, and enthusiastic about each experience. The boat captain and his assistant were also very nice and cooked us the best lunch! Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience on the Private Guided Tour to Prison Island, Nakupenda Beach, and Stone Town. The destinations were breathtaking, and the overall excursion was well-organized and memorable. Although the price felt a bit high, especially for what was advertised as a solo tour, I ended up sharing the experience with another guest who turned out to be lovely company. Ibrahim was an excellent tour guide, and my driver, Khamis, was punctual and a delightful companion throughout the tour. Despite this, I highly recommend this tour, it was truly a beautiful and enriching experience!

We were very fortunate and grateful to have had this trip delivered by the brilliant duo of Amena and Jigga Boy. They both had a great entertaining rapport between them, and made us feel relaxed and safe immediately. The vehicle was clean & comfortable - Jigga boy was a great, friendly & confident driver. Amena is a real credit to herself profession and made our day feel extra special. The tour overall was very interesting and had a real variety of experiences to it - from the joy and bliss on the beautiful Nakupenda sandbank to the hustle and bustle of culture in Stone town to learning of the dark history of slavery both here and on prison island. With this we felt such peace and happiness with the giant tortoises! With the experience, the food prepared for us on Nakupenda was so delicious! If you are able to book this tour then it won’t disappoint and if through booking you get Amena as your guide like we did, you’ve hit the jackpot. Her knowledge, personable adaptable nature, humour and confidence in delivery makes her a premier guide!

We had an amazing day with our guide Amina on Nakupenda Beach, Prison Island and Stone Town. Amina was very friendly and provided lots of good information. The driver Rashid was also super nice and watched our luggage during the trip.
