Overview

Jaisalmer, also called the "Golden City," is the desert city in Rajasthan. It looks like a massive sandcastle rising from the sandy plains like a mirage from a bygone era. Magnificent Jaisalmer Fort has a live urban center with about 3000 people residing within its walls. Visit the ancient temples and take a sunset camel safari on the Sam Sand Dunes followed by the live entertainment music of local folk performers.

    At 9am, your guide will pick you up from your accommodation or the train station in Jaisalmer.

    You will head to explore the honey-colored Jaisalmer Fort that emerges from the flat, dry desert sands and enjoy a walk through the maze of narrow streets in the city with ornately decorated havelis in yellow sandstone.

  • Salim Singh-ki Haveli

    The Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli and Patwon-Ki-Haveli are some of the most beautiful mansions with stone carving and latticework of breathtaking intricacy. You also visit the impressive haveli's which were once built by wealthy Jain merchants. Decorated with rich-carvings, stone inlays, ornamental lattice, tracery works and some of them are still in excellent condition.

    The visit is followed by Gadisar Lake. Jaisalmer has been described as an ‘open air museum,’ and to enter its narrow cobbled lanes is a step back into another era.

Amazing day tour of Jaisalmer

Our guide took us on a wonderful full day tour of Jaisalmer, showing us beautiful sites and explaining the deep history and culture behind the city. The desert camel ride at the end of the tour was incredible. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants the real Jaisalmer experience!

We had a great full day tour of Jaisalmer and the Thar desert dunes. Our tour guide, Bhupi, was very kind and knowledgeable, which made the visit to the temples and havelis. He was very flexible to tailor the experience to our needs and wants. All in all a great experience.

We had a wonderful experience with Bhupendra Ji. His excellent knowledge of history, culture, and religious traditions really made the tour so much more interesting. He is also very well connected throughout the area so we were very well taken care of throughout the day. The camel safari was the highlight of our tour as our kids had a blast. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone - Jaisalmer is not an easy city to get around and having someone like Bhupendra Ji is a must.
