I'm back at the Hotel Belle Claire, my favor place to stay in NYC. The entire staff looks to make their guests happy and comfortable. Today I met Iga, who services the rooms. Her warm, friendly attitude in our brief conversation was uplifting! Clearly the management of this hotel has created a culture which puts the comfort and happiness of its client as the highest priority and it permeates throughout the entire staff!

What a great tour! Tasty and educational - we learned a ton about the history of pisco, and (amazing) guide seamlessly put in the context of the greater history of Peru... all while walking around the Plaza de Armas and San Blas neighborhood.

This was an incredible tour, and my Cusco highlight, all due to the tour guide Vayana. We spent several hours walking the historic section of Cusco, visiting two bars and learning how to make two Pisco-based drinks. My favorite bar, Bar Peru, is a locals joint with a rather engaging bartender, Italo. I describe him as an efficient drink maker, while my daughters describe him as handsome. You choose. I was so impressed with Vayana, the guide. With her years of experience as a trek guide she's a wealth of information and was simply fantastic. I would definitely take this tour again.

The walking tour gives you a different perspective on Cusco. You will see different areas of the city. Learning to make a pisco sour is a definitely a highlight.
