I strongly recommend touring the Normal Palace and the Palatine Chapel with Simon. The palace and chapel are very beautiful structures and are a must see as they also include the working parliament chamber of Sicily and a prehistorical archeological site. Simon, our guide, is a very knowledgeable tour guide who describes the history and the events that shaped them very clearly. He is from Palermo and very proud of its history. This makes listening to him even more captivating. He provides earphones to hear him speak of you were standing at the back of the group or far from him. He has a good sense of humour and we even managed to grab an Aperol Spritz with him after the tour. Visiting the palace and the chapel without receiving the context and knowledge we got from Simon would have been very basic. I strongly recommend this tour.

Our tour of the Palatine Chapel and gardens with Simone was first class. He was knowledgable and his passion for the chapel is communicated in every sentence. It was our 3rd visit to the chapel but easily the most rewarding.
