Overview

Are you ready to soar over waterfalls, zoom through pristine native forests, and be enlightened through a hands-on cultural and ecological experience in Okere Falls, Rotorua? If so, then Rotorua Ziplines has you covered. Suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, a network of ziplines, swing bridges, and boardwalks will have you in awe for 2.5 hours as you fly, walk and gaze at the stunning taiao (Environment) that is Ōkere. Born through an intimate connection with the Ōkere Awa (Kaituna River), this joint venture between Ngāti Hinerangi and Rotorua Rafting’s Ōkere Falls born and bred, Sam Sutton, has been created to showcase its mauri (spirit) and importance with Aotearoa’s soon to be premier zipline experience. Ensuring that our taiao is enhanced through the very operation will have every guest leaving a tree in their name as Rotorua Ziplines reforestation project plant its way towards 60,000 native trees by the end of 2025 to see Ōkere Falls thrive for generations to come.

Wonderful experience, don't miss it!

What an amazing experience! I had read the reviews and also had friends visiting from the US in September last year, that had highly recommended this zip lining company. And I was not disappointed. There are zip lines interspersed with some board walks between them. My 77 year old Mum, who is not fit, managed it fine. Our tour guides Rafa and Tu were excellent with great senses of humours. We all really liked the information about how Maori use the native plants and the work they are doing on the land. One in our party found the heights difficult but Rafa and Tu were both very kind, encouraging and caring. They both are naturally very good with people. They absolutely made the day even better. We are looking forward to the next zip line being built and we will be back! Highly highly recommended. The rafting next!

Great Time in the Trees

We were on an excursion with a group from a cruiseliner. The experience was amazing, and lots of fun, even for a height challenged person like me. My wife did fantastic thanks to our guides, Leslie and Rose. They were educational and funny, but, most of all extremely helpful and encouraging. What an asset to the business!!! I really felt we got our money's worth. We would definitely do it again.

This was an absolutely amazing experience for zip lining! Our tour guides were so amazing and fun. We not only got to zip line over breathtaking waterfalls through the beautiful Rotorua Forrest but also learn about traditional Māori culture! This is great for first timers as well as experienced zip liners alike!

This experience was absolutely amazing! We not only got to enjoy the Ziplines, but also learned about the culture of the area. Our guides were awesome and so much fun as well! I would recommend this to anyone, from first timers to experienced zipliners!
