Fuente de Neptuno

La fuente de Neptuno es una fuente de estilo neoclásico que ocupa el centro de la glorieta a la que popularmente da nombre, dentro de la Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo, en la ciudad española de Madrid. Esta fuente monumental fue propuesta en 1777 y su construcción, empezada en 1782, finalizó en 1786. En su origen estuvo situada en la bajada de la carrera de San Jerónimo, mirando a la fuente de Cibeles, pero fue trasladada al centro de la citada plaza en 1898.

Cibeles Fountain (Pass By)

La fuente de Cibeles (más conocida por los madrileños como La Cibeles) es una fuente monumental de la ciudad de Madrid, situada en la plaza del mismo nombre, en la zona centro de la capital española. Fue concebida dentro de un plan de remodelación urbana en el siglo XVIII, por iniciativa del rey Carlos III, quien planeaba embellecer la capital del reino según la estética del neoclasicismo.
Barrio de Las Letras (Pass By)

El barrio de las Letras, también llamado de los literatos y de las musas. Debe su nombre a la actividad literaria desarrollada a lo largo de los siglos xvi y xvii. En esta zona fijaron su residencia algunos de los literatos más destacados del Siglo de Oro español, como Miguel de Cervantes, Quevedo, Góngora (que vivió en la misma casa que su antagonista literario, Quevedo), o Lope de Vega y su idolatrada Marta de Nevares. Con tales protagonistas y en este marco se instalaron los primeros corrales de comedias de Madrid, dos de ellos, el de la Cruz y el del Príncipe, importantes coliseos en los siglos siguientes.
Royal Palace of Madrid

El Palacio Real de Madrid es la residencia oficial del rey de España; no obstante, los actuales reyes no habitan en él, sino en el Palacio de la Zarzuela, por lo que es utilizado para ceremonias de Estado y actos solemnes. Con una extensión de 135 000 m² y 3418 habitaciones (en superficie, casi el doble que el Palacio de Buckingham o el Palacio de Versalles), es el palacio real más grande de Europa Occidental, y uno de los más grandes del mundo.

Templo de Debod

El Templo de Debod es un edificio del antiguo Egipto localizado actualmente en Madrid, España. Al ser trasladado a España, se situó de manera que conservase aproximadamente la misma orientación que en su lugar de origen, de este a oeste.El Templo de Debod fue un regalo de Egipto a España en 1968 en compensación por la ayuda española tras el llamamiento internacional realizado por la Unesco para salvar los templos de Nubia, principalmente el de Abu Simbel, en peligro de desaparición debido a la construcción de la presa de Asuán.Tiene una antigüedad de unos 2200 años.

Gran Via (Pass By)

La Gran Vía es una de las principales calles de la ciudad española de Madrid. Comienza en la calle de Alcalá y termina en la plaza de España. Es un importante hito en la ciudad desde su construcción a principios de siglo XX visto desde el punto de vista comercial, turístico y de ocio. En este último aspecto es famosa por sus cines, el tramo comprendido entre la plaza de Callao y la de España se conoce como el «Broadway madrileño».

We had a private tour with Andres and it was perfect from start to finish! He speaks great English and is easy to organise things with beforehand. We did the tour on our first day in Madrid so we were able to get our bearings and we were so glad we did, Andres took us to some places that we’d never have found on our own. We’d asked Andres to provide some bubbles and tapas meats and it was all great! Would definitely contact Andres for another tour when back in Madrid!
