Overview

9am sharp start time spring, summer, part of fall, and winter 8.30am sharp start time in October. Discover delicious, historic Salem, MA with our top-rated AM Walks! Our Walks gives a great overview of Salem's history, with a focus on our illustrious spice trade history, as well as information on Salem's thriving modern, culinary scene. When we are done you'll have great tips for dining, shopping and exploring while in Salem. Highly recommend taking our Walk as early in your Salem trip as possible. Our AM Walks begin in the downtown area. You'll be provided a breakfast treat and bottle of water. We'll then walk and learn about key points of interest in our downtown and waterfront areas. We end in the waterfront area with a spice tasting. If you have any questions or dietary issues, please email us prior to tour date.

Itinerary

  • Bewitched Statue of Elizabeth Montgomery (Pass By)

    Our AM Coffee Walks go from Salem's historic downtown area to the waterfront area. We typically pass by the Bewitched Statue, and head down Essex Street, towards Witch Trial Memorial and then onto the waterfront area.

  • Salem Witch Trials Memorial

    Tour will pass by the Witch Trial Memorial.

  • Salem Arts Association

    We end our AM Coffee Walk with a spice tasting, bringing Salem's illustrious spice trade history to life.

  • This is a history walk geared towards adults and older teens. We welcome young children but highly encourage a lightweight stroller.
  • We keep a moderate pace. Guests who need a slow pace may want to book a private experience with us (offered outside October.)

Karen was phenomenal! She is so passionate about Salem and making sure her community is heard and taken care of! She has such a radiant and genuine smile and greets people throughout our tour! She is very knowledgeable about architecture and had original pictures when Salem was being built! I would have paid double the price to go on this tour! Karen is truly a gem! Loved this tour! Plus, the free coffee and pumpkin filled croissant was a great start to an amazing tour!

This tour was excellent. I highly recommend booking it especially the 8:30 in the morning when there’s really not a lot of people crowding the streets. It’s super quiet and nice and you can really enjoy the walk with the tour guide. Our tour guide Karen was absolutely wonderful. I Full heartedly enjoyed her tour. It was really cool starting at that coffee shop being able to get pumpkin croissants and coffee for our tour. We didn’t have to wait in the line to order our own coffees. It was included which made it better to just grab and go ! Karen was super knowledgeable and friendly, she even gave us great tips for looking at the map of the city, and little tips for great shops / restaurants too.
