Overview

The event will take place at one of the best local vineyards in the recently named Independence Valley, Guanajuato, Mexico area. This territory is considered as the cradle of wine in America. The internationally award winning wine is exceptional and the staff is service oriented. The vineyard is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and the Chateau is large with grandiose architecture and filled with exquisite art. This tour includes 1 hour after your wine tasting to enjoy time in the restaurant or to explore the rest of the winery. The shop, the hotel, the church and many more attractions.

Find the "Fábrica La Aurora" Art & Design Center on Calzada de la Aurora street (without number). The white Toyota truck with the legend "Tres Raíces" on it, will show up 5 minutes before starting time right inside the parking lot next to a large sculpture of a bear and will departure sharp.

Itinerary

We will shuttle from San Miguel de Allende to visit one of the best local vineyards in Valle de La Independencia located approximately thirty minutes away. We will tour the beautiful winery inside and out with its unique personality, grandiose architecture, and majestic vistas. We will walk the fields and smell the essence of the vines and grapes (green seasons only spring & summer). Next we will explore the cellar where the wine is aged and you will learn all about the production process. At this point is when the fun really begins as we learn all about the wine and its structure when we participate in a tasting of wines and the association of delicious meats, cheeses and regional -made honey in a beautiful wine tasting room. You will learn each wine’s properties and how best to appreciate them. You will be amazed by the viniculture in this country & the history of wine in this region. Important: After the tour you will have 1 hour to continue your journey by staying to enjoy the vineyard's restaurant or/and explore the rest of the winery, its hotel, church, shop, also you can feel free to walk the grounds taking in the natural beauty of the landscape. ¡Welcome!

Great Experience

Our driver met us at the designated spot on time and drove us in a very clean, comfortable van to the winery. He was very polite and answered our question about all of the construction/developments we passed. We were able to leave our packages in the van while we toured the winery. The Tres Raices winery was fabulous. New. Very contemporary. Lots of smart, techniques for irrigation and aging. The whole facility was beautiful. Our guide, Armando, was very friendly and informative. Great personality. The wines were wonderful. Not sweet - even the Rose! On our return trip to San Miguel, we asked for restaurant recommendations. Not only did he suggest a fabulous steakhouse, he dropped us off there! I would definitely recommend taking this wine tour with Viator.

Our guide Ashanti had only been there five months, but she was excellent. Very knowledgeable and personable. The wines and the snacks were quite good. The winery itself has a great restaurant and stunning architecture. I would definitely recommend this destination.

My partner and I had a wonderful time on this tour! Everyone was pleasant and the vineyard was beautiful. All the wines were tasty and we even brought some home. They went out of their way to keep track of us after the tour to ensure we didn’t miss our ride back. Would love to visit again!
