Overview

Lim Bay Sea Kayaking tour is a perfect one-day experience. The Lim Bay, also known as the channel or the Croatia fjord, is located on the west coast of Istria. It is part of the 35 km long Lim Valley, that stretches almost to the middle of Istria. The bay itself is almost 13 km long, surrounded by cliffs covered with evergreen vegetation. In 1980, it was declared a special marine reserve. A peculiar feature of the water in the bay is that it is partly brackish. Its underwater sources of sweet water create a high concentration of oxygen, ensuring a rich and diverse range of sea species. This trove of marine life is also very well-known for its fish and oyster farms. The guide will introduce you to the tour and equipment and have a safety talk. We invite you to join us on our one-day trip and enjoy the crystal clear sea, serene landscape, and a small rocky beach. All perfect ingredients for a great Lim Bay sea kayaking trip.

Itinerary

At 9:00-10:00 Meeting with guide and transfer to the starting point - You will meet with your guide in the Poreč / Vrsar area and have the local transfer of approx 25 min to the start point at Lim bay. The guide will introduce you to the tour and equipment and have a safety talk and will start of the tour from Lim bay. We will then take a break and relax on a small beach in the middle of the bay. After a break and relax we are start paddling back. At the end of the trip, you can enjoy yourself in a local beach bar for a drink. Around 13:30-14:00 Transfer back - After the end of the trip and equipment restore you will have to organize a transfer back to the Poreč/Vrsar area.

No tourist trap, just Ilija and nature

An excellent Lim kayak tour in company with Ilija ! It’s not just about kayaking, it’s also talking about Croatian culture, nature, history and learning about each other. I did not want to overall touristic boat trip so I convinced my family to do an effort with a sport activity. I did not regret a single nautical mile. Actually we did 9 km’s :). I you want to visit the Lim and do not care about the touristic cave and stuff, this is surely the place to be! Thanks a lot.

We had great kayaking activity in Lim Bay. Ilija, our guide from Libro Advanture, with a lot of experience, an interesting conversationalist and full of knowledge. We kayaked for a little over two and a half hours including a coffee break on one of the beaches in the bay.

We had an excellent time on the water, learning a lot of new things. Ilja, our guide, was super cool to talk to and we all had fun. The activity is suited for the whole family and I can highly recommend it.

Relaxed water activity with great scenery

I went on this trip together with my wife and 2 teenage kids. We all loved it . It is a great way to be a bit active, yet still very relaxed. And off course if you want to go a bit faster you can always do that. We had a nice break where we could have a swim which is an essential part especially for my kids:) Meanwhile we had a chat with our super nice guide Ilija. I think this trip is also very suitable for young teenagers.

I can highly reccommend this activity during your holiday in Porec. We had a fantastic time with my teenager daughter. Ilija is a great guide, very flexible with tour dates and times.The tour price included hotel transfer. Ilija speaks excellent English.
