Enjoy this amazing landscape without the crowd, a perfect private tour for two.  Soar over Kauai's breathtaking mountains and waterfalls and discover a new side of Hawaii.  A vast array of green forested hills, and water falling over rain carved cliffs out to a sparkling blue sea, altogether this amazing air tour will teach you exactly why Kauai is called the Garden Isle!

Meeting points

We are one building north of Lihue Airport, on the same runway just a different building. We are just past FedEx and our parking lots, two of them, are free for you to use, just pick a spot.

Itinerary

  • Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park (Pass By)

    Fly along the entire beautiful and amazing Na Pali Coast of Kauai. Every seat is a window seat, and with us you spend more time gazing at the Na Pali Coast than any other air tour.

  • Kipu Kai (Pass By)

    Only airplanes include the lovely Kipu Kai and the entire Poipu shoreline of Kauai. The helicopters don't have time for this. We see so much more and have ample time for whale watching along the entire Poipu shoreline.

  • Manawaiopuna Falls (Jurassic Park Falls) (Pass By)

    Weather permitting we like to fly over this waterfall. It is actually three waterfalls in a line, and one of only 100 you will see on this trip, this one best known for the movie Juraissic Park.

  • Waimea Canyon State Park (Pass By)

    We fly the entire Waimea Canyon and see numerous waterfalls below us. The brown, eroded landscape is in sharp contrast the green of the garden isle seen everywhere else. The "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" is a must see.

  • Mt. Waialeale (Pass By)

    Sometimes called the Crater because it has walls on three sides, this is a beautiful example of abundant waterfalls on Kauai. We love to fly alongside, the waterfalls off the wing tip, a truly amazing experience which we love to share with you.

  • Hanalei Bay (Pass By)

    Hanalei Bay is one of our largest, and beautiful to see. After passing the bay we fly up Hanalei Valley and the 100's of waterfalls, really ribbons of water gushing down from the sky are on all sides off the wings and underneath the plane, a truly amazing view to behold.

An amazing and unique way to view Kauai.

This was a trip highlight. Just me and my husband with the pilot. The ability to see the interior and the coast from 3,000 feet was very special. The noise level was ok with the headphones and it was easy to communicate with the pilot. We were happy to have done this and not the helicopter. Our pilot, Jeff, was knowledgeable and friendly.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Wings Over Kauai on their one-hour tour around the island! The views were breathtaking, and the entire flight was incredibly smooth. Our pilot was exceptionally kind, informative, and helpful, making the journey even more enjoyable. I loved that they recorded the whole experience on a GoPro, allowing me to relive the adventure later. If you’re looking for a top-notch aerial tour of Kauai, I highly recommend Wings Over Kauai. A truly unforgettable experience!

Great experience and a great way to see the island! I wasn't excited about doing a "doors off" helicopter tour and this a great alternative. We saw amazing scenery - even a couple of whales.

This was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. Our pilot Kamaka was fabulous! Very professional and friendly, so knowledgeable about this beautiful island that he was born and raised on. Had amazing views of the entire island, I would say this is a must do when visiting Kauai. Just spectacular!

The only way to see the whole Napali coast without walking.

The trip was easy to book and also easy to find (at the Lihue Airport). The limo was ready at the gate but it was only a short walk to the plane, no limo required. The weather was perfect and we had the added excitement of seeing a passenger aircraft heading down the runway towards us before take-off. Because of weight distribution, I sat on the left side of the plane but throughout the flight our young pilot kept asking "did you get a good look, "and would turn the plane around so that I could also see the spectacular scenery of the Napali coastline. This is a highly recommended tour as its the only way to really see this spectacular piece of Kauai.
