Overview

The Melting Point is a new, state-of-the-art facility featuring a fine art gallery, a lamp working studio and fully equipped hotshop. We eat, sleep, and breath glass, and it's our delight to share this passion with the community. Our staff is as diverse as the beautiful Sedona desert landscape. Coming from a broad range of educational backgrounds, our glassblowers can tell you everything you would ever want to know about the science and art of glass.

Meeting points

All glass products must anneal overnight. Pickup arrangements of guests' projects should be made for the following day. Shipping options are available at an additional cost.

Itinerary

This introduction to glassblowing workshop is perfect for glass enthusiasts young and old. With the guidance of our on-site artists, we'll give you the tools necessary to make your own one-of-a-kind glass flower. You pick your colors and the style, and we're here to make sure you succeed. It is important to note that all glass products must anneal overnight. Pickup arrangements of guests' projects should be made for the following day. Shipping options are available at an additional cost.

Fun experience

Súper fun and unique event. Hubby and I enjoyed learning about glass making and it was fun to make something to remember the experience. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful

Awesome Creative Experience

This experience was a perfect way to spend a couple of hours doing something new. Everyone is extremely laid back and easygoing, which made the class a lot less stressful. We got the choice of several different items - I chose to make a flower, and my husband made a heart. Everyone else in the group made cups. Everyone was guided through their process individually, which was fascinating to watch. The items were ready for pick up the next day, and between the experience and the piece we created, we felt the cost was very fair. Would absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a new experience.

We had a great time in the studio! Family of four and we each chose a different project to do. It was a lot of fun and a relaxing morning atart in Sedona. Can’t wait to see them when they arrive home!

Very enjoyable, as a new experience for myself while on vacation in Arizona. Watching and participating in the process. I chose to make a flower, but there were other options as well, and the ability to upgrade to other projects for an additional charge. Fascinating to watch the lump of glass, change as colours are added, and the eventual flower is formed. It was exciting to return the next day (necessary to cool down) and see the final result. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try something different- If I am in the area again, I would definitely like to try another project.
